How likely are you to recommend Water Gap Wellness Center?
What patients say on Google
“I never leave reviews, but wow!!! Water Gap Wellness helped me at my absolute lowest. When I came to WGW, I was severely depressed and thought I was stuck and would never be better or recover from my trauma. What I learned here will stay with me for the rest of my life. During my time here I learned healthy coping skills, ways to work around cognitive distortions, how to branch out socially despite my anxiety, and sooo much more. Everyone here really cares about seeing you get better. I will say, you will only get as much out of it as you put in. If you don’t care about participating or absorbing the information given to you, you will not get the most out of your experience here. The groups are interesting, helpful, fun and all the therapists are incredibly knowledgeable about the subject matters. At a time where I felt really alone, I met so many people who were experiencing the same things I did and it really helped me see things in a different light. Shout out to my psychiatrist Dr. Gomez, my therapist Shannon, and other therapists - Taylour, Morgan, Katie, James, and Gabe! I couldn’t have done it without y’all! Thank you for making my experience at Water Gap memorable and useful. I know I’m just one of many, but you all changed my life and will continue to change lives moving forward.”
“Watergap was an amazing and helpful place for me. I felt cared for by my treatment team, and the groups were engaging and helpful. If you are struggling with substances and/or mental health, I highly recommend that you come here, it will benefit you. Among some of the most wonderful staff were Kate, (case manager), Billy (art teacher), James (therapist), Chad (case manager) and Matt (housing director). They were all integral parts of my treatment, and they all put time and effort into hearing and helping me. I couldn’t say enough good things about them! The art program run by Billy was one of my favorite places to be during group time, I did a lot of learning and exploring there. But the whole clinical team was amazing. Shannon, Taylor, Al, Tina, Jessica, Gabriel, Morgan (if I forgot anyone I apologize) they were all great. They facilitated groups that were engaging, useful, and well thought out and managed. My prescribing physician Matt was also helpful and willing to try new meds that others had not been to treat my diagnoses. I hope to never HAVE to come back to treatment, but if I did it would be Watergap in a heartbeat. I feel a part of this place, connected to this place and the people in a very deep way. I’m grateful that this place exists. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this, do yourself a favor and give yourself the gift of coming to a safe and even fun place to recover. Bonfires, activities, art, hiking, swimming, golf, and tons of other stuff are offered to fill up time outside of groups. Thanks Watergap! Thanks to everyone that makes this place what it is.”
“Very thankful for the time I was at WGW, they truly helped me change myself for the better and helped me with my anxiety and depression. The therapists who ran the groups were amazing: highly recommend coffee talk with morgan, spiritual mindfulness with susan, and art with sheldon! The only complaint I have is that there was a lack of communication between my care team and my parents, but they did what they could to support me and help me transition back into life. I cannot thank Water Gap Wellness enough for helping me get better, and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a program in PA!”
“Terri mack is the greatest she helps me with so much, she’s immaculate she always available when I need her! Ben’s Williams just alright, he’s pretty cool definitely down to earth has that child mentality. Been to many Facilities this one is definitely the best one. Bartosz Warchol is one of the best Theripist I’ve had in quite awhile. I’m so appreciative for everything they do for me and my future!!”
