“Dr. Arvind Patel is one of the most knowledgeable psychiatrist in Columbus, GA. I worked with Dr. Patel professionally as a pharmaceutical representative and spent time with his family personally. He not only sees patients at his office but he also has patients to see at the Bradley Center and other psych facilities in the area. The problem in psych care is not the physicians, the problem is lack of new psychs entering this area of medicine. As for insurance, Dr.Patel is the largest Tri-Care military network physician, and he closely guards and monitors the military lives who are entrusted in his care. Dr.Patel has given his time without pay to help folks who need his clinical experience and care. He is very kind and compassionate with his patients who are compliant and engaged in their treatment care plan. A sign of a great physician is a waiting room with patients which may require a wait time every now and then. I’d rather wait for a great physician with clinical experience with me than to have a rotating physician in my care plan who has no previous interaction with me as a patient or as a professional. Psychiatry is not a precise science. It takes many years of clinical experience to make the right diagnosis, and it takes patients being engaged in their care as to what medication is most effective in their treatment plan while understanding the science of the medication. Dr. Arvind Patel is one of the best of the best in his specialty, and a very loyal physician to his family and culture while also maintaining a strong faith. I was very fortunate to know Dr.Arvind Patel in a professional setting as well as meeting his family. “I had been taking my son since he was 6 years old to Dr. Patel. I had never had a problem with the doctor or the staff. Dr. Patel is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. His staff was always so kind. They treated my son and myself like family. My son is now 13. I'm heartbroken that I must find another doctor now because Dr. Patel moved. Georgia Behavioral will no longer see my son because of the insurance we have. My son is autistic and changes are hard on him and he built a trust with Dr. Patel and the staff.”

“I have literally been trying to see the dr to get my prescriptions filled for 5 months if not more. Twice I was sent away due to emergency with the staff then I was scheduled only opening for next day appointment! Mind you I live four hours away. I have had an emergency hysterectomy in the last week, I am unable to move due to illness and cannot even get someone on the phone. It’s quite despicable! I have been seeing Dr Patel for over 20 years and I have never had issues with the office like this! 😞”

“Dr. Patel is one of the best psychiatrist I have ever had. I'm giving him 4 stars only because the wait to see him is extremely long. But the first moment he saw me I was so scatter brained and such a mess and he simply just told me that I need to get off of all of the junk medicine all the other Dr's have been prescribing me... I was hesitant because well I never trust a Dr that within 5 min. Of meeting me wants to switch up all of my meds without even talking to me, but this man knows what he is talking about!!! I have seen him for 2 months now and the difference is night and day! I followed his advice, switched my meds around and now I am so clear headed and can function so much clearer. He is a true God send. And I would recommend him to anyone!!! He is definitely a man who knows his medications and will fit you in if you have a problem and there are no Appts available. So please don't listen to these other reviews. He truly does care about his patients and takes his job very seriously. I just wish that waiting room wait wasn't so long!!!”
