What patients say on Google

“I dropped a friend off there looking for help with a lot of things. They called an ambulance to pick her up after about a half hour of speaking with her. I'm happy they responded to her issues, however I wish they would have let me know rather than treating me like I didn't belong. She does need support and I'm happy they didn't compromise and got her to a hospital.”

“I was encouraged to attend the Wed night family support group. It was difficult to get myself to even attend. I now wish I had stayed home. I left leaving more isolated than I did when I arrived. The room was too small for the number of people in attendance. Furthermore, it felt like the facilitators were not prepared as they were in and out of the room while new people were sharing which was disrespectful and distracting. The entire experience was unpleasant.”

“Adding to my original one star review from 2021. These people aren’t licensed in any way, so if you need help in a serious way they are essentially obsolete. I went to them this week in need of advocacy with my workplace. After giving me lots of hope and meeting on a Friday night to try to handle things, they went an entire week without touching the work we were doing. When Tina finally opened her email that she was repeatedly notified of, it was then that she said the organization can’t fill out said paperwork because “they’re not licensed”. They could have told me this at the onset and I would not have wasted very important time that could have been spent remedying the problem. NAMI means well, but the one thing they’re great at is dropping the ball and letting their clients down. Shame.”

“Amazing organization. If you or anyone you know struggles with their mental health NAMI McHenry Co. is an excellent resource. NAMI 's services are always free. My family & I are grateful for what NAMI has done for us so far. I whole heartedly recommend NAMI as a free resource for many of your mental health needs.”
