What patients say on Google
“I am extremely disappointed with how International Therapy Solutions handled my care during one of the most serious mental health crises of my life. I am disabled, receive Social Security Disability, and have Medicare as my primary insurance. I was seeing Joanna twice weekly because I was experiencing severe PTSD, significant accident-related pain, worsening mental health, and suicidal crises. I had also recently been hospitalized following self-harm and deterioration of my mental health. I saw Joanna on Thursday, August 27, 2026. NOTHING was explained during that session about my treatment being terminated, a substantial balance, or an insurance problem threatening my care. At 4:24 PM that same day, I received notification from the office. When I returned the call, Sarah had already left for the day. I was NEVER emailed or mailed a bill or balance statement showing this substantial balance accumulating. I did not receive a balance until August 31, when I already had another appointment with Joanna scheduled for September 1. I was then told I needed to pay more than $2,000 in full to continue seeing her. I was not offered a payment plan, sliding scale, reduced rate, temporary arrangement, or other financial assistance. As someone living on Social Security Disability, paying over $2,000 at once was simply impossible. I was also NEVER informed when establishing care that Joanna did not accept Medicare, my primary insurance. I intended to continue seeing her even after my auto-accident-related treatment ended. Had this been disclosed initially, I could have made an informed decision before establishing trust and a therapeutic relationship with someone I apparently could not continue seeing under my primary insurance. I was offered an unfamiliar Medicare-accepting therapist only after this happened. Declining an unexpected transfer does NOT mean I voluntarily discontinued treatment. I wanted to continue with my established therapist. There are also unresolved discrepancies regarding their communications with Progressive. Their emails reference someone named “Rebecca” regarding my auto claim, although the adjuster and supervisor known to me have different names. My claim is in litigation and insurance matters are being handled by my attorney. I also had concerns from the beginning. When I originally contacted this practice looking for a specific clinician, I was repeatedly encouraged to use their services while being told that clinician did not work there. Months later, I was told the clinician actually did. I retained the emails documenting those communications. I understand providers need to be paid. My complaint is about transparency, communication, advance notice, and continuity of care. I was receiving therapy twice weekly during a severe mental health and suicidal crisis and had recently required hospital care following self-harm. Joanna was one of my primary supports. Taking that therapist away with virtually no advance notice, no discussion during my last session, and no meaningful transition plan further destabilized my mental health when my safety was already a serious concern. Patients with severe PTSD, self-harm, and suicidal crises deserve better continuity of care than this. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this practice.”
“Franka is an amazing therapist! Her warmth and kindness helped me immensely when I was struggling. Her dedication and skills were very helpful in our sessions. I could not recommend her enough!”
“I had an assessment done here for ADHD, and was diagnosed with Bipolar 2. When talking about my struggles and experiences, one statement got classified as "hypomania", and ADHD was out the window. I'm not a doctor but I do know my experiences and I am aware enough to know what I described was not hypomania as it is not episodic/cyclical, but instead a burst of hyper focus that stemmed from engaging in something I was interested in, and that had a deadline attached to it, which ultimately resulted in burnout. I had already been delaying an official assessment for years and to be "misdiagnosed" was disheartening, considering I already felt defeated from a lifetime of telling myself just to try harder. I ended up seeking a second opinion somewhere else because the diagnosis did not align with my experiences and I feel it is the doctor's responsibility to dig deeper for understanding rather than checking boxes on a paper and making assumptions. With my official ADHD diagnosis I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders, and now I can work towards a better quality of life. I'm on day two of Vyvanse, and the lingering dread has turned into hope and optimism. I encourage any and everyone to trust their instincts and experiences before just accepting someone's "professional" opinion. It's your health. Good luck 🙏🏾✨”
“Exceptional mental health therapy services that truly understand your needs! I recently started therapy at International Therapy Solutions and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. From the very beginning, they did an outstanding job matching me with a therapist who truly aligns with my mental health needs. As someone with a demanding work schedule, flexibility was a top priority for me, and I was impressed by how they were able to accommodate my busy life while ensuring I received the support I needed. What stands out most about my therapy experience is the level of honesty and transparency provided by my therapist. In a world where genuine communication can sometimes feel rare, I deeply appreciate her straightforward approach. It has made all the difference in my journey toward better mental well-being. After three months of sessions, I’ve already started to feel more empowered in managing my mental health. The tools provided have made a significant, positive impact on my day-to-day life.If you're looking for a mental health therapy office that combines professional expertise, flexibility, and personalized care, I highly recommend International Therapy Solutions.”
