What patients say on Google

“I've recently moved to Columbus a month ago. I was referred to this facility and it has been a God Send!! All the workers have been fabulous and they continue to help me in every way. Also, a huge shout-out to Ms. Regina Matthew's. She helped so much finding me a job. She also checks on me regularly for updates. Thank you for caring.”
Daniel Merck
“They are strict but they care. They try their best, and it's the only place I can afford that treats me with respect. Dr. Roy is great, establish a relationship built on trust and mutual understanding and he will help you the best he can.”
Kyle Mitchell
“Many states have absolutely no mental health services, so I consider our community very lucky to have American Work, Inc. located here. The core staff (those who have been there longterm: Dr. Roy, psychiatrist; John, nurse; Adrian, front desk, appointments, records) are devoted to the needs of consumers, but the scope of their actions is severely restricted by rules and methodology put into place by the latest corporation that has taken ownership of the facility - whose obvious focus is on pushing as many clients as possible through to collect fees covered by Medicare / Medicaid. While it is fantastic for those with mental health issues and limited resources to be able to get ANY services when they could not otherwise afford them, the focus on quantity of clients vs. quality of service does not make for an environment friendly to helping clients beyond mere medication management. The company must also offer very low pay or have unreasonable expectations of their employees (or both!) because the facility has an endless turnover, making it unrealistic to expect to see the same person for updates or client services more than twice. Even therapists who assure a client that they "aren't going anywhere" are gone in a remarkably short period of time, making continuity of treatment virtually impossible, so why bother? Still... a little help is sometimes better than none! New Horizons used to offer similar services and might be an alternative preferable to American Work, but I can't speak to the services currently offered at that facility. I do not believe that it is privately owned, though, which could make their focus more on consumers than profit. Worth checking out.”

“I just love Dr. Benjamin Roy he is most thoughtful. I can't imagine him saying anything to hurt anyone's feelings as he is always so courteous and respectful of me and my time. The nurses, John and Crystal are most helpful, they always have my meds ready and a smile on their face. Adrian and Bianca are spectacular and always put a smile on my face! These folks have been such a great help to me. Recently I have met with a nice lady who helps get people jobs, she is awesome as well. Can't go wrong here, everyone you see tries to lift your spirits!”
