“Honestly it was the happiest I have been in a long time. It started off pretty good until we reached the weekend. Weekend shift is lazy and they barely act like they want to be there. We’re supposed to do groups everyday if I’m not mistaken, but for the entirety of Saturday and Sunday we did like two groups. (There’s usually like 2 groups per day.) Dr Boatwright was amazing and she made it her duty to get me discharged and on the right track. She was very understanding and she listened to everything I said and made me feel validated. I’m a germaphobe so when it came time to shower I was very hesitant because I could visibly see the dirty and moisture in the cracks and crevices. I remember having an eczema flare up on my wrist and I asked a nurse to order hydrocortisone and she told me to put some lotion on it… my skin is very sensitive. They’d be running overtime for everything else but when it came time for reflections at 6:30 they’d send us to our room at 6:25. To me every minute counts. Same with bed time! Night shift is lazy. They barely spend 3 hours with us and they act like we bother them so much. I have trouble sleeping (I have medication for it) but night shift was loud. You can’t send people to bed, be loud and expect them to sleep peacefully. Day shift and weekday shift staff were my favorites they interacted with us and one of them even taught me how to play spades lol.”

“When my original psychiatrist was unable to see me, I had to switch to Dr. Lee. My previous experience with Dr. Patel was a big difference in their bedside manner. Lee was abrasive, condescending, short and I never felt heard. Patel was intimate, understanding, never felt rushed, heard my concerns for medication needs and wants. I had my GP take over my med needs, as they weren’t controlled like other needs. My dad and grandfather just passed and my best friend is in hospice and I’m in need of anxiety meds my GP won’t prescribe. I called to request a female doctor instead of Dr.Lee 4/8/26 roughly 2 pm to South Cobb behavioral and was met with the same attitude as Dr. Lee, but worse, by reception. I told her about my tragedies and zero concern, remorse, care about my situation in THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD, just simply stating policy that I could not switch doctors. She was callous when I stated looking for the right psychiatrist was like looking for a doctor that you feel comfortable, she stated that was only for therapy, not psychiatrists. Which is a wild statement, because I’m expected to tell you private things about my life and we come to an understanding about meds appropriate for me and my lifestyle. If you want to feel unseen, unheard, and felt to feel small 10/10 recommend South Cobb behavioral health.”

“I just got discharged today from this location, and it was total chaos. Just beyond crazy that I don't even have the words to say how unsafe this place is and seeing patients getting out of control. The security team of WellStar the rent a cops don't do anything during situations that involves safety. All the nurses were good to me except this one guy name Ben. An Air Force vet trying to intimidate and gets defensive other things shouldn't work in the medical field. WellStar you need to do something cause I will never be coming back to this location again. "Safest place" they said, no it really isn't. Stay very far away from this place at all costs, you don't want to meet Ben. I rather stay at Grady.”

“Dr Boatwright and Recreational Therapist Katherine were life changing. Dr Boatwright is the first Dr of any type that listened to what was going on with me instead of trying to tell me how I felt. I have had physical issues since the Covid shot that had effect on my quality of life and she seen that it had effects on me to lead to my attempt at suicide. She has given me a better quality of life moving forward. Mrs Katherine used her amazing skills and personality not only to give me great skills leaving there but I seen her groups have people smiling and some that had not spoken a word since getting there, to start talking and getting involved in her groups. I didn't not want to go here at all put it was a great experience I am glad I got to experience”
