“Was forced to take IOP classes which is intensive drug therapy, being sober, I would consider this place an attempt at being a gateway to creating more drug problems so they gain more clients. I was forcefully made to miss a class on zoom, and instead of admitting fault, the company and all their employees discussed that I told them I needed 2 days on zoom. Which was obviously not discussed when I needed 3 days. But lying is definitely one of the reasons why this place has such bad reviews. Mine being one of them. Anything for extra money for themselves, while not truly helping their clients”

“Look elsewhere for your mental healthcare needs. I was taking my kid here for a couple of years and there were always some inconvenient errors (like not billing us for months and just letting us believe that insurance covered it, then springing a massive thousand-dollar bill on us for a whole string of past appointments), but now they’ve reached a whole new low. They canceled three of my kid’s appointments without any notice (we took off work/school and showed up for nothing) then they explained that his therapist simply decided not to work that day of the week anymore. No notice. No reschedule. Now we’ve been calling for months trying to get him rescheduled and they’re just ghosting us. We call and call and call and they just say “Oh yeah, I’ll pass this message along” but nothing ever happens. Apparently this is just a business to them and they’re making so much money they can afford to just sacrifice childrens’ mental health without giving it a second thought. My guess is there are so many people in the community with so few choices (geographically and/or financially speaking) they are forced to go there and have no other viable options. -And Valley Oaks knows it, so they don’t have to be bothered with doing a good job or caring about patients’ needs. My advice: if you have any other options at all (online or otherwise) avoid this place at all costs. They could not care any less about their patients.”

“I was so happy to finally get into this place! It took 6-8 weeks to get the initial visit w a counselor. Then it has been cancellations after cancellation and today the 3rd! I haven’t seen my therapist for a month! I only saw her2 times! My brothers 1 year death anniversary is today. I really needed to talk to someone tomorrow, and now I get to wait another 8 days! But that appointment will probably get canceled too.”
