“Dr. Szwed is the most competent Cardiac care physician I have ever had the good fortune to know. I am a retired detective after forty-one years of service. Dr. Szwed helped me dodge a bullet More than twenty years ago. Due to his acute professionalism he ordered some diagnostic tests and found my “‘widow maker” artery was more than eighty per cent obstructed. He ordered a stent placement and for all practical purposes saved my life. My employment as a law enforcement officer required immediate physical exertion making me a prime suspect for a heart-attack. He subsequently adjusted my medication to avoid ocular hemorrhaging. Prescribed a blood thinner to allow my heart some relief from overworking. He monitored me through a short lived situation of afibrillation. Most recently since I’m 75 years old, 5’8” And applaud myself for continual weighing in just below that 300 lb. He thought for safety purposes he would schedule me for an echocardiogram. I must also give credit to the radiology tech for a very through exam. Because I am great of girth and hecwas still able to obtain very clear pictures. The results indicated normal heart function. But it also revealed a very slowly developing condition concerning my heart valve function. A condition that would more than likely take ten to fifteen years to require and invasive attention.by that time, if I’m still sucking air, I’ll be 85-90. The arthritis will have interrupted my guitar playing and my WWF activities with my, by then, grown grandsons! Turning to my fsith, I pray that Dr. Szwed is still sucking air and if not practicing could at least act as a counsellaire to guide me and what is left of the life m, which he has strove so fervently to maintain, what do I do then??? So fortunate fate has steered me to Dr. Szwed And so happy to call him my Cardiologist and even happier to call him my FRIEND.”

“Dr. Trippi recognized the change in my heart valve and explained the problem to me. He ordered a test and asked the nurse to schedule that same day. He conveyed the urgency of following through but eased my mind with the reassurance that it wasn’t a big emergency that day so i haven’t been anxious or afraid.
