What patients say on Google

“They cut our food portions down by at least a third. Dr. Potter denied me treatment that really could have helped me improve and gotten better sooner. I know this because I'm going to a different hospital, UofL where I'm getting the right treatment that Dr. Potter refused to give me. UK psych misdiagnosed me. They tried to shove pills down my throat that my psychiatrist had discontinued. They skimp on snacks so fingers crossed you get a nice nurse who can sneak you a few extra snacks if you get hungry. The resident doctors, I fear for our future. If this is how the next generation of doctors are going to treat their patients, you're better off staying at home and dying in your bed. They kept me over the weekend knowing full well I was fine to go home. Staying the extra 2 and 1/2 days during the weekend offered no therapeutic value. In order to save money, they cut all the therapy groups during the weekends. Staying here at this hospital made my depression and anxiety worse. The nurses would point and stare and laugh at me when I'd have panic attacks. The resident doctors completely disregarded anything I had to say and just went with what Dr Potter told them about me instead of getting to know what was actually wrong with me so I could get the proper treatment. No matter how desperate you are, do not go to this hospital. I suggest going an hour and a half north to Sun behavioral health in Northern Kentucky or to University of Louisville psych.”

“So far it has been only 24 hours so this just a first impression. A lot of things seem good , except for the fact that they let my son go 23 hours without water or food. He was there because of confusion and more, of course. They said it was his responsibility to wake up and get food and water after being given 3 meds which cause drowsiness. Only because I insisted did he get water, but no snack as promised.”

“If you are in serious crisis, and need help with preventing suicide DO NOT GO THERE FOR HELP!!! please share this to save your life, or that of you're loved ones.”

“Denied me mobility aids and dismissed my severe headache after I hit my head on a phone (accident). Treated me like a pest. I begged for a mobility aid and they put in my chart that I was walking without help, well obviously? It’s not like I CANT. I have brain tumors, I need help so I don’t lose balance. They also got so many notes wrong about my history. Very disrespectful and I am disappointed. I will never go back here Update: I had brain cancer during this time so that makes it doubly worse that they dismissed my concern and denied me mobility aids”
