How likely are you to recommend Thriving Lives Counseling, LLC?
What patients say on Google
“A truly warm and inviting practice. From the moment you walk through the door you know you are cared for and welcome. I highly recommend TLC!!!”
“I have been with my therapist, Jessica, for about two years now. I only have good things to say. She is invested, compassionate, and funny! I feel welcomed coming for every visit, from not only my therapist but the other employees as well. I'm happy to see them grow as they recently moved locations, to a bigger facility, and I see new faces at the front desk, which is amazing to see. They offer snacks and drinks and I see they are expanding their new office everyday! My only complaint is that they only have fancy hot chocolate... I hope for a regular flavor every session.”
“Thriving Lives Counseling is one of the best psychotherapy practices in the south suburbs. My therapists Beatrice is attentive, caring, and very knowledgeable at what she does. Im very greatful for the care and service she provides. Top tier for sure!”
“My bonus baby has been coming here for over a year. I have to say that in the beginning I truly felt a connection with her therpist Mrs. Jessica. She is a good listener and asks the right questions to uncover the need of the child. We ran into a small issue on our way to a session a few weeks back. We where 10 minutes late due to having to be redirected because of a accident and my bonus baby popped in the office only to be turn around by the team stating we are a no call no show especially after I text ms. Jessica telling her we where running late. When I came to her next appointment, I asked the front desk person for a print out of the policy that states that. She mentioned she has to speak to her supervisor. I feel she should always be able to obtain a copy of the policy just in case someone ask. I then mentioned to her that a few months ago we where 5 minutes late and she was able to be seen. She told me that they can’t bill for a 35 minute session but you can bill for a 40 minute session which confused me. Although ms Jessica is cool the stick policy with no grace period is hard when you live far and run into a issue. This completely stressed me out. The way ms. Jessica was texting me made me feel like a child that needed a verbal lashing. I told her and Quote” I feel like you are coming at me about something I could not control”. As of now I am being charged $100 for a appointment that I was 10 minutes late to which is totally unfair. I could see if I was a habitual offender. I am looking for a new therapist someone closer to home. I’m sure the office will say “good” like ms. Jessica said when I told her “sounds like a plan”. Ouch. I guess when you have so many patients who cares if you lose one. One more thing. In the cancellation (policy see picture)below effective January 1, 2022, the policy should also state about being late, you should also state if you are more than 10 minutes late you will be charged $100 and considered a no call no show even if you arrive you will not be seen. To me that’s effective policy Practice. Thank you for what you have done so far with my bonus baby. Sincerely. Angela Smith.”
