Avia hands down works her butt off to help all her families get everything they are entitled to and makes navigating this complex life as a mom of a special needs child as easy as possible. “If you care about your mental health, and getting better, do not go to this clinic or any other Team “Wellness” Center. Expect 2 and a half minute medication reviews, and 10 minute psychiatric evaluations. Very high likelihood that you will be misdiagnosed here at intake. For frame of reference, med reviews take at least 15-20 minutes at other clinics by respectable professionals. Psychiatric evaluations set the foundation for your course of treatment, they should take at least 45 minutes. They can’t manage paperwork to save their lives so if you get a bill in the mail that you can’t pay, fight it. Very big chance the signatures and consent forms they have for you are outdated so they can’t technically bill your insurance LOL”

“I usually don’t leave reviews, but after my experience, I had to warn others. I went to Team Wellness Center in Southgate, Michigan, and it was absolutely horrific. I’ve never seen a psychiatrist’s office show such little concern or understanding for patient care. The doctor there refused to continue prescribing a medication (Cymbalta) that I’ve been taking for four years—for fibromyalgia and depression claiming they “don’t do pain medication.” Cymbalta is an SSRI, not a narcotic, and suddenly stopping it is extremely dangerous. Instead of listening or reviewing my medical records, they wanted me to quit cold turkey! I walked right out and never looked back. After that nightmare, I was honestly terrified to switch psychiatrists again. Thankfully, I found Mindful Health Group, and it was night and day compared to Team Wellness. From the moment I walked in, the staff were patient, kind, and truly attentive. They reviewed my transferred records, respected my history, and worked with me to maintain stability while adjusting my treatment plan responsibly. If you value being listened to and treated like a human being not a chart number please skip Team Wellness Center altogether. Go to Mindful Health Group instead. They’re compassionate, professional, and actually put patients first. Team Wellness: cold, careless, unhelpful. 💖 Mindful Health Group: warm, informed, and genuinely caring.”
