How likely are you to recommend Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center?
What patients say on Google
“They won't call you back with a appointment. But had the nerve to call and say be patient. Mental health crises and theysaid be patient!!! 2 weeks later nothing!!!!!These places need to be shut down if they cannot provide the adequate professional care and support for people with mental health issues. This is serious and why you are starting to see more extreme violence because people are not getting the help they need. It's all about money and shame on you for putting your own financial needs over someone's mental health. I hope you can sleep at night.”
“They Dr's and nurses are very rude to everyone. They are very slow. They are in denial about transfer. Its FSu health center. They post be have good side manners and compassion to everyone. They are not”
“This place feels like a high school gymnasium from a low-budget 70s horror film. While attempting to visit a suffering family member, I first experienced complete confusion in even successfully entering the building. When I finally figured out how to be buzzed in, I quickly wished I had not. The place is dimly lit and creepy. The staff (or lack thereof) was rude. It is places like these that really punctuate what is wrong with America's overall behavioral health picture. It felt like a bottom-of-the-barrel holding tank for forgotten members of our society.”
“i was admitted in hopes of getting better a few years back and i was more miserable then ever. I was treated like a prisoner by the nurses and they were incredibly demeaning. they threatened to tranquillize anyone over things i was appalled at. (not preforming an activity etc) we were shut into our rooms with nothing to do, no enrichment besides starting at plastic furniture and white walls. the windows had writing on it that said “help me” and “get me out.” i told them i did not want to take medicine and they prescribed me pills without names every day. the food was awful and it was the longest week of my life.”
