How likely are you to recommend Statesboro Psychiatric Associates?
“today, i finished 36 rounds of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy with a fierce, almost unbearable hunger to live. that is the plainest way i know how to say it. when i started treatment, it felt like i had a stack of bricks lodged in my heart. not resting there. lodged. a weight i had carried so long it had worked itself into everything. my body. my language. the way i moved through the world. the way i disappeared inside it. now it feels like those bricks have become dust and rubble. and today, for the first time, it felt like i could sweep what was left of them out the back door. TMS healed something in my brain, but my techs mary claire and saylor healed something in my heart. their kindness did not feel small. their warmth did not feel casual. their presence every morning felt like becoming a part of the sunrise. they reached places in me i did not know were still hurting. places i did not know were still waiting for tenderness. this experience would not have been the same without them. i do not think it would have held the same light or love. mary claire walked with me through the everyday of this treatment. saylor stepped in at different points, and by the end, was coming into my sessions just to sit and talk with us. just to be there. and sometimes that is the holiest thing a person can do. just be there. what they gave me was more than professionalism. more than care. it was human. it was tender. it was healing. i feel so lucky to have received this treatment. and even luckier to have known them both. some people leave fingerprints on your life. they left them on my heart. thank you mary claire, saylor, and SPA for everything.”
“After three years of going to other psychiatrists to help my child with her meltdowns from Autism Spectrum Disorder, we finally found the correct medication. This did not happen overnight but I was listened to and through that with Dr. Lichtman’s help and guidance our lives are starting to change for the better. This guy knows his stuff. It is not easy to navigate caring for a child with ASD and frequent meltdowns/shutdowns. We are still on our journey but finally our lives have changed for the better. Wonderful doctors and team. Thank you all! ❤️”
“Laughs in your face during medical emergencies and over the phone when you try to book an appointment as a REFERRAL patient! So beware. Wish I could give a more detailed review but they’re too good for it :/”
“Dr. Lichtman and his entire office are fantastic ! I highly recommend them. Dr. Lichtman Brings decades of experience to the table along with his attentive, listening skills, He is easy to talk to, You can tell that he listens without passing judgment and gives his patient’s information and respects the decisions that they make based upon the information that he gives them. In addition to his professionalism, He has a great approach with his patients and a great sense of humor, and that definitely lightens the mood and makes it even easier to talk openly with him! He is well-versed in medication management and up-to-date with the Newest and best medication’s for different conditions In addition to talk therapy and medication management, another one of Dr. Lichtman‘s great strengths is instilling mindfulness in his patients . This is a phenomenal skill to achieve, and I am awe of Dr.Lichtman for imparting this on my son and my teenage son for his ability to follow the meditation practices that Dr. Lichtman Suggested to him in one of our initial visits. My son has had great success and finds the Ability to find mindfulness through meditation to be completely life-changing and so helpful to every day life ! . Overall, you can tell that Dr. Lichtman, takes great pride in helping each of his patients To find the best fit for them , personally with whatever combination of therapy and medication management, helps them live their most successful life. From what I understand, he sees patients as young as pediatric patients all the way through the geriatric population, I can personally say that I’m so happy to have found him for my teenage son after moving here approximately four years ago, He’s been a perfect fit and so helpful ! His entire staff is warm and welcoming, They are personable and very professional. Special things to Dr. Lichtman’s receptionist, Sherita ! She is fantastic also. We only wish that Dr. Lichtman was also licensed in South Carolina , because we live in Bluffton, SC and travel to either his Savannah or Statesboro office to see him and are unable to do Telehealth, for a follow up visits because he’s only licensed in Georgia. However, I so highly recommend Dr. Lichtman & his office that we make the trip. We prefer the Statesboro office to the Savannah office.”
