What patients say on Google

“Had a 10:10 am appointment had to be there ay 9:50 am .I was there at 9:45 am early .Waited over an hour .Ended up leaving without blood draw because the woman came to me and stated "well , you are a walk in " told her I called during the week and had appointment. I was late for another appointment and never got the bloodwork done .Had to leave without getting my paperwork or script. This place has gotten horrible ! Who or what is managing this place is far below the worst expectations .I'm sorry I have to write a review like this but this is the third time I've called ahead for appointments and been looked over as someone who doesn't call for appointments. They really need to get their s☆☆☆ together. The only thing that was fast was check in and thats because I called ahead for an appointment. 😡”

“Takes so long to get bloodwork they are always short staff. I also get charged more when I come to this lab. I go to Ellis lab in Scotia sometimes and I don't get charged. This is closer to my home but not worth coming here”

“I went in to the Rao Pavilion over a week ago to get blood drawn. It was simply one vial of blood. I have yet to receive the results of my blood test, and my doctors office has reached out multiple times for the results with no response. I have called, and was hung up on, and when I did get through no help was given. I am very frustrated because I need the results in order to see if a medication worked. My provider also tried to get my results off of the NYS Health Information site, and was not able to receive the results that way either. I feel as if the results were either lost, or logged incorrectly. I am hoping to receive the results next week, but probably will not receive them at this point.”

“We never like to see our baby sick but we enjoy seeing Dr. Rao. Yesterday my son brought him a drawing from school and Dr. Rao told him he would save it because it’s going to be worth a lot of money when he becomes president someday. He makes every child feel important. I had him at his office when they opened yesterday morning because my son woke up with a cough and fever. He told us what to do and we went home and all day did what was instructed like clockwork. Last night around dinner his fever spiked to an extremely dangerous temp and after more medicine and a cold bath we couldn’t get it to go down. I called Dr. Rao who instructed we go to St. Mary's Rao Pavilion urgent care. Mind you this man’s name is on the building he does Gods work in this community. We got there about 40ish minutes until close and the woman (Tamera S) at the front told us he couldn’t be seen there because we had went to primary care earlier in the day and insurance wouldn’t cover it. She said insurance would see this as another primary care visit and wouldn’t cover two in a day. We asked if she was just saying that because they were closing soon. WE WERE DENIED CARE for our child who had a 105+ fever after being instructed to go there by his doctor. Our primary care does not do chest X-rays, certain tests, or have a lab like the urgent care does so they are not the same level of care. Going to the urgent care would’ve been a different level visit than primary care in this circumstance because what they could do for my child was more than primary care could’ve done. We called Dr. Rao again from the urgent care and let him know WE WERE DENIED CARE and he was in utter disbelief. We stated over and over again we didn’t care the cost we just needed to be taken care of. We then called St. Mary’s Emergency Room to see what the wait would be. They were also in utter disbelief that WE WERE DENIED CARE. We left the urgent care went to the ER and they got us right in and the staff were fantastic. High fevers that linger or worsen can cause significant health complications if left untreated, including seizures, brain damage, and even death. The woman at the Urgent Care put our child in significant danger tonight. We are thankful for the staff at St.Marys ER and I genuinely hope Tamara S is counting her days in patient care because I am not going to let this rest. What she did is illegal.”
