“Dr.Rao has always been great and a knowledgeable physician who knows what hes doing and never gets snappy with patients. Bob on the other hand, catches an attitude very quickly with patients which is unprofessional and needs to learn how to speak to patients without making them feel bad about themselves.”

“First of all, I wanna start by saying thanks to Doctor Rao For his caring and dedication to this town and I also want to think his two employees, Angie and Maria that have stuck by Dr. Rao for many years and are very loyal and dedicated employees that care about their job. I feel it is a shame how after so many years of him giving back to the community and donating millions of dollars. Saint Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam hire him as an employee ,throw him in a little double wide trailer looking building ,that smells like sewer ,That was probably abandoned for a God knows how many years due to sewer problems. It is a shame how employees have to deal with patiences rudeness and disrespectful comments because of changes that they have no control of. I believe Dr. Rao and his employees , Especially Angie and Maria that are very dedicated employees and take their job very serious, deserve better.”

“I have been going to Dr. Rao since I was a very small child and after having many negative experiences with him, I have to say if you can afford to take your child to anyone else please do it. I have a very distinct memory of me being 14 and having a new cartilage piercing that was rejecting. I went to Dr. Rao hoping he could help me and instead I was lectured about how I should not be putting so many holes in my body. That was very unprofessional. A medical professional should not impose their opinions on their patients, especially if something was done with parent permission. And honestly, he probably put more passion in that conversation than he has ever put in improving his attitude. After his rant, he told me I needed to take the earring out because it was getting infected. He didn’t even try to take it out himself, being the doctor he is. I had to go to my mom and have her rip the earring out herself, causing me to have a large scar tissue for a number of years. There is also a long period of time that I was struggling with a sinus issue and he kept prescribing me a high amount of antibiotics. If you know anything about that, you know taking too much antibiotics can actually weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to other sicknesses. Dr. Rao has done a lot for the community, but it’s time for him to retire. His way of practicing medicine is very old-fashioned and honestly I feel like the way he interacts with his patience is very harmful. I have never felt more undermined and put down than I have with him. Once I aged out I switched to Hometown health and I could not be happier to speak with a doctor who takes my health concerns seriously”

“Dr. Rao & Dr. Bob are wonderful. They have always take any concern I have very seriously and have always steered me in the right direction. In a post-pandemic world where the majority of doctors and nurses can not be bothered to do their job at all (let alone correctly) Rao and Bob have proven that not only are they experienced and educated, but they actually care. Dr. Rao has never rushed me off the phone or been unprofessional or rude, I think a lot of these other reviews may be from people that are not the most intelligent and don't understand this man is VERY busy and doesn't have time to explain 5 different times to go get a COVID test from Rite Aid *shrugs*”
