How likely are you to recommend St. Mary's Healthcare Addiction Services?
What patients say on Google
“I completed the 28 day inpatient rehab for my substance abuse problems. Boss Lauren takes very special care to curate a wonderful staff that all have their own amazing unique addition to the department. Staff there have all been there a while so it's not like most healthcare with high staff turnover. They are down a few staff when I was there so my only complaint is because of that. There's just not enough time in the day for the staff to get to all 14 patients every concern, need, gripe, request, or vent session. That said, important things are ALWAYS taken care of asap. It's the little seemingly petty things that staff doesn't always have the time to address as much as they'd like to. It's only a 14 bed facility in a hospital setting so you bet for the most part you're going to get some really great individualized counseling care and treatment plan that really is built around each person's specific needs and goals. It's a great program. Like anywhere you have to want it to get the most out of it. Of course you never know what the atmosphere is gonna be like because of the changing patients it's never a guarantee you'll go into a good or bad bunch. There is no sneaking doing drugs or smoking there, no sexual foolery. It's to small of a facility to have those kinds of problems and thank God cause that's the worst things to have to deal with when going to rehab. It's not like some places where u end up coming out with more connections and being more educated on how to be an addict then before u went in. You come out with more community help resources and, with tools for being an addict in recovery. I recommend this place with all my heart. There are a few staff that I'm positive have secret angel wings stuffed under their shirts.”
“I was there two and a half years ago. The staff was terrible. I had a counselor who was going to release me with no further outpatient care. Being that the rehab had started me on methadone, that would've been extremely dangerous to my recovery. I had to catch the doctor, (who as a patient you rarely get to see) and explain to him my concerns. The Dr. was shocked. Thankfully with no help from the staff, including the director of the rehabilitation floor, I was found an outpatient center. I went three weeks with no help from my counselor Debbie and was threatened to be thrown out for somebody else's actions. When the director realized the mistake she had made, no apology was given and I was told to watch myself. I was not the only person mistreated and as it turns out, other patients reported this facility and staff to OASIS. Anybody looking for help with addiction should look somewhere else. St.Mary's is not a kind, caring, or dedicated facility.”
“Great counselors, the doctor and nurse are great too. Dr. Maslak is kind and caring. I have never been rushed during appointments. I owe a big part of my life to the staff at the Gloversville office. Rob, Glen, Lane, Beth, Dr. M, Bill, Sheryl, and the Nurse (not all current employees)”
