How likely are you to recommend River Place Behavioral Health?
What patients say on Google
“I had a good experience during my stay at the hospital. I think I was on unit 4000. The people there helped me a lot and treated me with kindness. Brittany, the Recreation Therapist, was very nice, patient, and friendly. She even helped me get some clothes when I didn't have any and I really appreciated that. She always had a smile on her face and made me feel comfortable. I don't remember the name of the patient advocate, but she was friendly too. She was always smiling and willing to help. Both of them made my stay better, and I am thankful for everything they did for me.”
“I liked the place. Just wish it was more organized and wish the community (staff and patients) within the facility would be more outgoing with activities and with each other. I did not enjoy the fact of feeling of me being annoying because I ask questions. I did not like how staff was just so consumed by their own lives. I get life is hard but these people aren't either appreciated enough and considerate enough by themselves or others around them. And Such as going outside. We didn't do that often. And group was not consistent everyday. Plus I see pictures of yoga mats and lawn chairs and I didn't see or hear about any of those things. The food was mediocre but loved the banana cream cake. And loved how we were able to get cold drinks or tea for I drinks instead of just juice.”
“After my granddaughter was admitted to Riverplace, I was nervous and skeptical about her stay. After speaking with the nursing staff, I wanted to speak with someone in Administration, and I had the opportunity to speak with Joshua, the CEO. He assured me that she would be in good hands. After her discharge, she shared that they treated her like family and made her feel very safe and comfortable throughout her stay. Thank you, Riverplace, for the care, compassion, and professionalism shown to my granddaughter and our family.”
“I have Bipolar Disorder and have been in and out of hospitals ever since I was 21 when I had my first manic episode. I have been to several facilities in and around New Orleans. Trust me when I tell you that this facility is one of the best facility that I have been to. They have their own cafeteria and the weekly meal menu selection is displayed. I got to say, the food is delicious! It tasted like my mom’s home cooking sometimes. The staff is a hit or miss. Some mental health technicians and nurses work for a paycheck and some truly enjoy what they do to help you as a patient. The team of doctors, nurse practitioners, social worker, and therapist are usually very professional. Special shoutout to Mr. Charles aka Saint Charles the Social Worker, Nurse Stephanie, PA Alan, and Tech Trey! Pros: - Good food - Professional Team - There’s a yard to get fresh air and sunshine Cons: - Longer-term facility (5-7 days) - No smoke break - You usually have to share a room with a roommate I highly recommend this facility if you or a loved one is in need of professional mental or behavioral health.”
