What patients say on Google
“Never return phone calls and if they do its a few days to a week later and ive had phone calls never returned either..or they hang up or ya or watch as your calling and dont pick up. Seems likes they tell you what you want to hear as soon as we need to reach out we better not "bug" them or we get chewed out or as I was told im keeping them from doing their job. There is no on call services either and no medical Fridays so if they dont get back with you in the one business day like their answering services say, then your screwed out of meds. Ive been told their slammed and by me calling and calling im keeping them from their job and was told some other very unprofessional things as well. There is absolutely no communication when a message has been received to know if your message has gotten to the provider. They automatically expect you to know i guess and then you have to drive out there to get face to face and that doesnt go over very well. but As far as meds go alot of the pharmacies in town are running out of our meds or sending them to other towns where we're having to drive an hour and its just not convenient and while i know its something the clinic its self cant control, but if our pharmacy is out of stock on our meds..we call to have it transferred and no one calls back or its a friday and no ones there or you call during the week and they dont call you or they do call you and its a few days to a week later. And if by chance they do get your call they dont say what is happening or if its gettin called in at the end of they day ect. When we call We are trying to advocate for ourselves as we're navigating all this and we dont want to be sick. No wonder people relapse. 9 years as a patient with them so this isn't just an isolated incident. From the reviews it seems like im not the only one so I know its not a me problem.”
“They dont refill your medicine so you have to sit without it. They dont call you back. They are always late. Its ridiculous. Worst service I've had. Ive had to stop my vivitrol injection because of them. I had to quit my medication cold turkey cause they dont call back! Waste of my time and recovery”
“Counselors are very easy to get along with, same with the nurses. However the prescribing psychiatrist (Erin) is very hurtful and rude and does seem to gaslight a lot. I do not believe as a psychiatrist she should be making comments about physical medical conditions. Such as cardiac problems. I have never ever left a psychiatrist feeling more unheard than anywhere else. The nurses (bless them) had to console me after I left the room.”
“I never even made it into the office. I was referred to Guidestone by Blanchard Valley Psychiatric Center as they were not accepting new patients. From the moment the receptionist answered the phone and told me that they were NOT psychiatrist but only counselors (she put emphasis on 'NOT'), she was short, rude and even hung up on me as I tried to receive some guidance as where to go? Assuming that she saw my number as I tried calling back three times, she never answered the phone. Considering people that call places like this have issues I would have expected a higher level of professionalism as well as advice as where a person could go? Although I'm not, but supposing that I was suicidal or had an urgent issues this receptionist could have very well tipped the scale for somebody that was not in their right frame of mind. This complaint may sound petty to some, but for many people with mental disabilities she should very well know that many people are fragile and expect more of a welcome than to be treated rudely and bring hung up on. I must say that this took me by a great surprise! I will also state for the record that when I called I was somewhat irritated from my previous call but I was not rude nor did I raise my voice or use any profanity to the receptionist.”
