What patients say on Google

“My daughter had high masking autism. I didn’t know it for sure at the time and was okay with the mood disorder diagnosis but when I looked back at the evaluation.. ALL of her screeners showed autism signs, significantly. When i pressed about it, it was because my daughter looked at them and smiled during her evaluation so they didn’t feel the need to look further into autism. Lo and behold after going to a more reputable place, she’s autistic and we can finally get the real help we’ve been craving . 🙄 I did like them and they were kind, but how do you not do the only job you have? Or at least get updated with the times of what high masking looks like in girls.”

“They seem like very nice people the whole process of doing the “extensive” psychological testing. the first visit is just an interview to see if you need the testing. The second visit is the testing if you needed it and the third appointment is virtual to tell you your results. However, In the testing stage they don’t ask you any personal questions. They just have you doing a bunch of tests and if you ever applied for Social Security, then you have taken this test before so you know what you’re doing. whenever they deliver results, they just read verbatim a report, they have no empathy for the patient, they rush through it, and don’t allow you to ask any questions. When I attempt to ask questions about the diagnosis that they seem to think I have or don’t have they quickly want to get off the Video chat…. saying I’ll send you the report and you can look it up yourself. The person I had delivering my results was also very late to my appointment so I think that’s why she was rushing. my service dog alerted me multiple times that I was going to have a panic attack. Which I did right when she hung up the video chat. I then sent a message to the office to explain how unprofessional I thought it was how unaccommodating it was for a patient seeking help and how I literally don’t even know what I was diagnosed or not diagnosed with… they still have not responded to my message. They also tried to say that I did not have a diagnosis that I have been diagnosed with by my psychiatrist. Then told me that they hoped that I wasn’t “fishing” for a diagnosis when I’m just seeking psychological help. They do not ask you very many questions about your life so they are on very little information. I 100% would not recommend going here if you need to do the extensive psychological testing. I’m not sure about their other services since I didn’t use them. I definitely think that with the extensive psychological testing, they should also interview the family and friends because they see how the patient acts in the real world.”

“I was skeptical based on past reviews but I took a chance anyway because I really needed the help. And Im happy to say the entire appointment went well. Dr Bryd and her staff are nice and work well together. The are on time and treated me with respect. Id recommend here”

“I was worried considering all the negativity in the reviews. The front office staff was not rude to me at all and I probably called more times than I should have while waiting for my son’s appointment. While in the office for our first visit, the front office staff definitely seemed busy but were always kind when asking me to wait a few moments and got to me as promptly as they could. The doctor we saw (Dr Byrd I believe is the correct spelling) was very patient with me when we sat down to discuss what I was there for. They are booked pretty far out but do their best to get patients in quickly and spoke of the possibility of getting an earlier appt if it was available. The office was not dirty, nor did it smell in my opinion. It is an older building but I saw nothing wrong with their equipment or toys.”
