What patients say on Google

“NC Brookhaven is a fantastic mental health provider, with the best staff I have worked with. Dr. Lowe is a fantastic person and is always a pleasure to talk with. She is my favorite mental heath doctor out of all that I have had previously, and Shun is simply amazing, as well as the other staff. Whenever I need anything, Shun always takes care of me, making sure I have my appointments scheduled and answers any questions I have professionally and with empathy. If you have mental health needs, and are looking for a provider that is both empathetic and professional, I highly suggest NC Brookhaven.”

“My son was in crisis from his psychologist there that he's been seeing for years. He called and they said no she doesn't have any room she's booked. He was in dire straits. He needed to see her because his lithium was so high. He needed for her to adjust that and put him on something to help him with that . She never reached out to him she never called him what she could do for him. So we had to go to mission hospital three times. They put them on medicine one time we went back they put them on medicine at different kind and then we went back again then another kind of medicine and we went back again . All of that messed up my son's mind. I guess he couldn't handle it. So he committed suicide. If she would have just let him get in there last week he would have been here today.”

“I have been seeing Dr Lowe for over 20 years. She helped me tremendously until it has gone to this telemedicine thing. I do not care to even be seen this way. The front desk staff has been rude to me and they seem to “rule the roost”. I have had terrible withdrawals from medications because I can’t get a refill I call the desk as soon as I know I need a refill and I have to go thru withdrawals before I get a new prescription to pharmacy. They will say “You know you have to give her 48 hours notice “. Well I have given more than that!”

“I have been a patient of Dr. Lowe’s for about twenty years. Her commitment to my personal and emotional well being has been incredibly important and vital to my survival. I have also had the great privilege of interacting with Shun for many years- she has always gone out of her way to make sure I am well taken care of and is an outstanding professional. Feeling very blessed to have them on my team!”
