“Took my teen daughter here after an end of life attemp, they scheduled her with the wrong therapist and was pushed out a week, and never got to speak with one for her first therapist appointment. She spoke with a social worker we will call "T", who reported me to CPS for abuse because I had my daughter shovel dirt and wood chips for the garden beds we put in every year , because I have to have a total knee replacement in September and cant carry my self, also that I had her in long sleeves and sweat pants in the sun, because she dosent wear sunscreen. Also because my 14 year old is having identity issues, I said I do not support Trans gender, especially in teens, they are to young to understand this yet. she said i abused her with manual labor because i dont approve of her choices. This report to CPS caused my daughter to mentally break and become so impulsive that she ran away and attempted to end her life not once but twice before mich state police picked her up. Not once did the social worker ask me to clarify what she said or ask me about it, just took it upon herself to take the word of a troubled teen with out any evidence or any other information and make her spiral out of control to attempt to end her life, again. My daughter is now in a psych institution again, due to the social workers negligence and deliberate actions. I will never bring my children here ever again. Informed her superior, tried to file a complaint but would not transfer to the woman's voicemail. Will try again. *** update now Tuesday june 16, no response from social workers supervisor, tried to contact amber for complaint/grievances finally got voicemail left a message, canceled both appointments for daughter last Friday both still in the system canceled again today, voicemail left for CPS amber last friday still no response, she stated before coming to my house last thursday she was going on a camping trip and wanted to get the meeting done before she left so she may still be camping, hope shes having a good time .filed complaints at state level *** ** received call back from amber, filed complaint with monroe county community mental health*** *** received a call Tuesday june 16th at 250 pm from a woman at monroe mental health stating I had emailed for mental health services for my daughter?? I have express adamantly we will never be there again and she is in an institution, what kind of people / lack of communication dose this facility have????? *** **** now friday june 26th, i had terminated all services through mental health, received paperwork that they will inform me of any action taken againt the social worker T in 90 days, which means they will sweep it under the rug. But mental health is STILL calling cps on me, because i received the call today from amber at cps, they called on me be cause I took my daughter out of their services and she is seeking services out of monroe. Will be seeking damages due to their direct negligence and contributing to my daughtr running away, endangering a minor, and her 2 attempts to end her life because of their actions *** ** friday june 26, paperwork received, stating resolved in favor of cmh, so their internal review did nothing, so filing for a second level review*changes,”

“I've had a truly rough experience with my psychiatrist, Dr bagga, and I wasn't able to get placed into therapy. HOWEVER, my case manager has been an absolute lifesaver. She's there for support, has helped me find ways to find more affordable housing, helped me find food when I had nothing to eat, referred me to many great programs and outside therapists. And when I had nobody else, my case manager provided somebody (herself) as somebody to talk to like when my therapist is out of town, but I had a bad situation happening. I really respect and look up to my case manager”

“We have a systemic lack of understanding of how mental illness works in this society, and the Community Mental Health Authority practically enforces it. When I came here the first time I was told it would be fine for me to come here just for case management if I wanted to keep my existing care with my psychiatrist and therapist elsewhere, but when I met my caseworker two weeks later I was told instead that there was no point in me coming here if I didn't switch over to CMH's psychiatrist. Had I been told this on my first visit I would have been frustrated but understanding. Waiting two weeks to be told the appointment I was actually quite looking forward to is useless is demoralizing. I did inquire about resources I feel I'm in need of, and I was pointed to organizations that are located too far away for someone medically unable to drive to get to, or religious organizations that only bother helping the community (in quite lazy displays might I add) for the sake of their PR and a hope of gaining new converts. I did not feel like a person inside this building. I felt like an item.”

“Love my psych. Love the pharmacy. Love the receptionists. However they can't keep counselors & only had 1 that understood everything & actually began helping me alot but unfortunately she left. I've had 13 caseworkers in 15+ yrs. They claim they don't take Medicare but hmm I've talked to others that have Medicare and their getting covered. Thankfully my psych got me on meds that seem to be working, if they dont she's always made adjustments, she's very resourceful as well, that's pretty much the best help I've gotten here. Always ask the counselors if they know anything about ur diagnosis if not don't waste ur time,ask for another one who does u won't regret it.”
