How likely are you to recommend Middle Georgia Behavioral Health Center?
What patients say on Google
“I recently went to Dr. Meck for a neuro psychological evaluation. Dr. Meck is a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. He took to time to discuss with my family and me what we would expect in the future with my dementia. His office staff were equally kind and so helpful making my appointment and follow up! I highly recommend Dr. Meck.”
“Unfortunately I was hoping this place would be capable of handling someone that is suffered from Complex PTSD and Traumatic memory issues. Do not take your patients here, they are only focused on what isn't a liability to them.”
“My experience with Dr.Goodman has been absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and are always willing to help any time I call”
“The other negative reviews are accurate. Georgia Law 120-2-106 says that in the event of a "surprise bill" - that is a bill to a person with insurance, but that includes a non-network provider they were unaware of - can NOT be paid by the individual. Visited them with good insurance, they had us start seeing someone not in network without informing us. Insurance denied the bill because, of course, but then Middle Georgia Behavioral health insisted that we owed them for their mistake. Despite Georgia Law on Surprise Bills. We had to cancel being seen by a therapist we actually like because they couldn't wait for us to fix their mistake. Then they cancelled therapy we had with other doctors "until the balance that they created goes away." We called our insurance to confirm that yes, it was fixed, We talked to MGBH about it, but Dr. Meck, who says he is a lawyer, is a rude man who can't accept responsibility for his clinic's failure and has now caused more, extreme stress, to me and mine. And now, because of this, they are refusing to see us. To be clear, we fixed their mistake, we did the rebilling, they got paid, and that's not good enough for them. Outside of Dr. Meck failing to have appropriate staff, he also failed to make sure his counselors were appropriately accredited. The administrative staff also failed to check the status of the counselor, and because of this failed to bill appropriately and failed to inform us of the difference, and they've admitted this on the record. Our conselors were great, the staff and clinic cannot competently do their job. But everyone else there should be ashamed of how they conduct business. Look further afield for counseling. We have to and it's tearing us apart right now. This place is the furthest thing from healthcare.”
