“Not the place to go if you want to get off opiates... My husband started methadone in September last year for help to get off fent so he wouldn't have to go through horrible withdrawals. We clearly let them know at the very first appointment that he didn't want to swap one addiction for another, he just needed something to assist him in detoxing. We both told the doctor that he wanted to tapper down with the doses so he could quit, instead they raised his doses consistently to where he's now more dependant on methadone than he was on fent. & They still won't even listen when we ask about tapering down. Being on methadone for the rest of his life is not what my husband expected when he went to medmark for help, he expected actual help not a trade in of one addiction for another.”

“I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. It comes with the territory. Thank you everyone at the Oxford,Al clinic.”

“I have been here four five years when I first started they doc is and is still great they have got better nurses shout out to Kathy she works really hard and miss Annette med mark won’t hire anyone else it’s just those two winched has cuz the clinic to have a huge wait line over hour and a half when used to. I could just walk in there and dose and walk out. The only other problem I have is they change the dosing hours but they don’t on their page on Google and because of that I miss my dose because they’re supposed to be open on weekends from 5 to 930 Saturday and Sunday now they’re only open on Saturdays till 5 to 7. I’ve seen so many people Mr. doses because of this like I said maybe on one it’s very frustrating and I hope Madmarcc get certain stuff together because a lot of people that I know in the last week have quit because of this mess.”
