What patients say on Google

“I spent time at Malibu Wellness Ranch in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, and overall it was a meaningful and unique experience for addiction recovery. What really sets this place apart is the Equine therapy. Being paired with a horse, learning to care for it, groom it, and ride is more powerful than I expected. It builds trust, patience, responsibility, and emotional awareness in a way that talk therapy alone sometimes can’t. The horses and ranch staff were patient and skilled. Big thanks to Rachel (tech) , Tanya (case manager) they really went out of the way to make things as accommodating as possible.”

“One of the most relaxing and comfortable places to be able to begin your sobriety. The staff is absolutely amazing. You never feels if you’re alone the tightknit community and the behavioral health technicians. Welcome you with open arms the operations leaders our second to none they will move mountains to see you succeed in your sobriety I was able to spend nearly 100 days at this ranch . The doctor in Colonel treat you as if your family as long as you respect their house as if it was yours. I would truly tell you this place changed my life. I now sit here with over four months of sobriety in my life has gotten nothing but better since being a Malibu Wellness Ranch. To the newcomers or those who would like to begin their journey and sobriety I highly encourage you reaching out you’re never alone. No matter where you come from in life, I believe we all deserve a second chance I can truly tell you this place developed and encouraged me to take over my life when I was at the darkest point Malibu Wellness gave me light. I can truly tell you without this place I would ever be here. They are integrating new ideas daily as well as the clinical and medical staff treat you as if your there your own. I am a disabled veteran who suffered from extreme anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder. The veterans program here is very welcoming. There’s experts in military recovery and how we can return to a life better than we could ever imagine. I am willing to speak with anyone who is interested in this unbelievable program and I can tell you my firsthand experience. You are never alone, and I can truly say that I will always be here as well as the many alumni who came before me. We do recover . Love you All . Dylan Bice”

“Astetically the place is beautiful, professionally, the place is horrible. 2 suicides in the past 7 months, one taking place while i was inpatient. They treat the farm animals better than their patients. Staff is not accomodating as i had to literally buy my own towels from amazon to dry off after a shower. Staff picks favorites, letting some patients get away with little things while another gets in trouble for it. Staff are also bullies and try to embarass you in front of other patients. You dont get much free time and men and women cannot converse with one another. Staff are under trained and dont realize the patients there are in a fragile state of mind. Be careful of a tech named Antonio, as women have approached me saying they dont feel comfortable around him. There was also a bed bug outbreak. Ants filled my sink as well. Food was good as atleast. Nothing to drink but water 90% of the day. The operators butter the place up but its no where as amazing as they claim it to be. They claim to be a dual facility but its basically just for addicts. I recieved very little to no mental health help there. Oh, and make sure you finish the program because if you dont, they will leave you stranded at a bus stop.”

“I went here in the 70s 80s 90s 2000s. I spoke to a few guests who were very happy there. This place holds the most wonderful memories for me. Not much has changed except they fixed up the main building beautiful and put grandstand around the coral. I counted 30 beautiful horses.”
