What patients say on Google
“Just spent 7 days there,it was Hell. First off I was just trying to get some help for health anxiety due to medical stuff I been going threw last couple years. It litterly felt like prison. The beds suck forget about getting sleep . One flat ass pillow. The food always cold . The coffee sucked and only juice and water. I drink caffeine so yeah I went threw the caffeine withdrawal so bad. I was so sick by the time I left there. I had a stroke over a year ago and take a baby asprin every day and potassium. I COULDNT get my meds for 4 days and had to fight with rude nurses to get my inhaler because they had none. 3 people there that had asthma and we all had to fight with the nurses, they finally brought mine up from down stairs. They should also have a nebulizer there for breathing treatments if need be. Had to fight with the nurses for 2 days to see the doctor and when I did he just wrote some stuff down didnt do nothing for me. The physio doctor hardly ever looked at me when I seen him he stares at his laptop the whole time and he kept asking me about my sister. I have no sister so dont know if the hospital I came from had me confused with someone else or what, which might explain how I ended up there in the first place. 2 of the techs there were great wish I could remember their names. Alot of fights and craziness going on there. I felt worse coming out than I did going in for sure. It has taken me 3 days to start feeling normal again.”
“They consistently threw me in with the violent men, I am trans and was an easy targets for attacks. I was vulnerable and my safety was only accounted for after the fact. I would only be transferred to the proper floors if I was attacked. I have been there around ten times and the only positive is the technicians there.”
“My brother was admitted to lake around this time last year. At first it seemed appealing, good location good scenery. However things turned very sour, as staff was communicating to my family about his condition very rudely, specifically the social worker there. This SW threatened to kick him on the streets if they did not find a proper place, as told directly by her. My brother was discharged within a week and a half - and sent to a homeless shelter CENTER across town in a sketchy area. He was not in a actual homeless shelter, as this place closes at five. He was not wearing his usual clothes, and was clearly not in a good mindset, as he was paranoid upon arrival. We were lucky enough to be able to send him somewhere else but I am very dissapointed with the staff here. He would have been on the street if not for us.”
“Only thing nice about this hospital is that they have separate units for different types of symptoms and disorders. I spent most of my admissions on the Agressive Psychotic Unit. This place must improve the food. The noodles veggies and sauce that they called Chinese food gave me allergic reactions. All the other dishes were low grade too. The shower heads had just a few tiny streams of water, similar to most. But their phone rules were so restrictive. And their facilities on some units were very outdated. The staff here weren't all that bad. The CEO personally carried my belongings when I switched rooms. Respectful woman. Liked her. She was putting in effort to making changes.”
