What patients say on Google

“Here’s a polished 5-star review you could post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the receptionist who answers the phone and checks you in, to the nurse who takes your vitals, every single person in this office is amazing. They consistently go above and beyond to make patients feel welcome, cared for, and supported. As someone who occasionally misses or forgets appointment times, I can honestly say they have always treated me with kindness, patience, and understanding—even when the mistake was completely my own. Cathy and Dr. Harper are the dream team I have been searching for for over 30 years. They truly listen, take the time to understand what is going on, and work with you to find solutions that actually improve your quality of life. I never feel rushed, dismissed, or judged. Finding healthcare providers who genuinely care is rare, and this office exceeds my expectations every time. I am incredibly grateful to have found them and would recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-centered care. That version sounds professional and heartfelt while really highlighting how much Cathy and Dr. Harper have helped you. ❤️”

“I should have listened to the reviews. Nearly every appointment I’ve had here has involved waiting an extra 30 minutes to over an hour past my scheduled appointment time, causing me to miss work on multiple occasions. My time has not been respected, and the repeated delays have been extremely frustrating. My biggest concern, however, was my experience with medication management. After doing further research and discussing my medications, I discovered that one of the medications I was prescribed not only seemed to worsen my physical symptoms, but it also has a known interaction with another medication that my psychiatrist was fully aware I was taking. This left me feeling like my concerns and medical history were not being carefully considered. I also felt that my symptoms were often dismissed, and I struggled to have productive conversations about trying different treatment options or adjusting medications. Instead of feeling like my provider was working with me to find the best approach, I left feeling unheard. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a provider who takes the time to collaborate with patients and provide individualized care.”

“I’ve been a patient there since my previous provider retired. After reading other reviews, I’ll offer mine. Please remember this is my opinion & has been my experience. All medical facilities are different & all patients are different. No medical facility is perfect, as no person is perfect. In my opinion the care given by the clinical staff is excellent. The nurse is great, she knows my name, my physical issues & never fails to be professional as well as personable. I’ve had 3 different NP counselors because I’ve been a patient there for over 10+ years & can’t find anything but positive things to say about each one. I recall one visit which wasn’t scheduled not quite an emergency but at the time it felt like an emergency. I was going through a very traumatic situation & couldn’t see beyond my personal pit of pain & distress. I will always recall arriving for the appointment & not thinking I would live beyond the day. Lauren, my NP counselor, helped me through it . I didn’t leave “healed” but with hope and the ability to see beyond my immediate pain. She followed up & never gave up on helping me to learn to help myself. She saved my life that day & I will be forever thankful. I also see Dr Liu. She is awesome. She saw me via Zoom several times when I couldn’t physically get to the office. Finally, the front office. I have had a great deal of interaction with several different staff from financial, scheduling & assorted clerical issues. I have always been treated with respect & assisted with scheduling even when that involved several calls back & forth to find an appointment that I could work with. No single person or situation is 100% perfect, however I feel fortunate to be a patient at IBH.”

“I had an appointment scheduled for Friday with a new provider. I am really struggling and need a medication change, so I’ve been holding out for this appointment. I received a call saying the provider will not be in the office at that time and I have to reschedule. When I spoke with the scheduler, she gave me two other options for an appointment, but I would not have childcare at those times. She then offered me an appointment two weeks from now and when I told her I was really struggling and needed to see someone, she laughed and said, “well I can’t make an appointment for you out of thin air!” She was rude and insensitive, especially for someone working for a mental health provider. I’ll be looking for another office as this is not the first negative experience I have had here.”
