How likely are you to recommend Greater Vision Counseling & Consulting Agency PLLC?
What patients say on Google
“I was initially hopeful—this counseling clinic advertised trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming care. But my experience was deeply invalidating and harmful. My sessions were with Keenya Taylor. By the second session, she suggested that survivors of sexual trauma might emit a kind of “pheromone” that attracts abusers. It implied that I was biologically marked as prey, which is not only unscientific but profoundly harmful and retraumatizing. She also suggested that my queerness was a result of my trauma. As someone who’s always loved across the gender spectrum, this felt dismissive and harmful. Queerness is not a side effect—it’s a valid and beautiful part of who I am. On top of this, she often dominated the conversation with details from her own personal life, which left me with limited time to process and speak. While some sharing can help build rapport, it felt imbalanced—especially during sessions meant to support my healing. While she encouraged me to speak up if anything made me uncomfortable, that expectation showed a lack of understanding. Survivors often don’t feel safe enough to advocate for themselves in the moment—especially when they’re already feeling dismissed in a space meant to be safe. I had two sessions and chose not to return. I’m sharing this so that other queer survivors don’t have to second-guess their instincts like I did. To anyone reading this: don’t give up. There are therapists out there who will hold space for you with skill, empathy, and real care. I eventually found one who validated my experiences in ways I’d never known. You deserve that too.”
“Professional and staff makes you feel at home. Environment has a homey feel to it. Therapist is amazing along with the rest of the staff. Don’t ever feel like you’re alone when Greater Vision is available. Highly recommend Greater Vision.”
