“They repeatedly gave me the run around regarding my daughter’s file. They never gave me a yes or no after me waiting for at least 2 months, even refused a copy of her registration paperwork, but granted access to her father. We have joint legal custody and I am the custodial parent. I was told multiple times that they did not like to get in the middle of custody issues but that’s EXACTLY what they did. I recorded my interactions with staff and the director and will be looking into what licensing board is the correct one to report the director and Lauren Gibson to.”

“I signed up for family counseling and on only our second time going and first time with just the adults the counselor Kimberly Bowman should have kept her opinions to her self and heard us out completely before giving an opinion. But instead was very rude and even signed loudly and frowned while I was trying to express a difficult situation. While we were trying to address miss communication between the adults she focused the conversation to our child. At one point she made the statement she has never had one on one time with our child, then why was she making any kind of comments on what our child is capable of. Also it is so unprofessional to sigh and frown at a client you are expecting to be honest and vulnerable with you.”

“My doctor referred me to lifecenter for an ADHD assessment. About 2 months after the referral I had not been contacted, so I called LifeCenter. They informed me that they do not take referrals. So I went in and filled out the paperwork. On the paperwork I stated my reason for reaching out was for an ADHD assessment. They decided to match me with Shelby. When I went to my appointment with Shelby she informed me that she wasn't qualified to assess for ADHD at the start of the session. She then said she didn't believe I had ADHD solely because my family doctor diagnosed me with anxiety (which is very common for women with late diagnosed ADHD). Then in an infantilizing voice she says "I'm sorry I didn't mean to crush your dreams". Which made me feel like she thought I was drug seeking. She ended the appointment and diagnosed me with depression without the proper assessment because she said she had to have a diagnosis for her paperwork.”

“When my 12 year old daughters dad passed away I was desperate to find her some help. a co-worker suggested this place and we have it a shot. My daughter is now 15 and the counseling has changed her life. She is thriving and overcome to serious obstacles, all with the help of her therapist. She sees Kimbar and has such a wonderful relationship with her. even though it's a 45 minute drive we still take her every week. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for help and guidance for yourself or your kids! our life would be completely different if not for life center and i'm beyond grateful.”
