What patients say on Google

“My first visit was today and I saw nurse practitioner Allison. I just moved here from a big city and was nervous about a new doctor but I've always had great experiences with nurse practitioners. This was one of the best doctors visits I have had! The waiting room was not crowded and very clean and the lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I was seen only a few minutes after my appointment time and was in and out within 30 minutes for yearly exam and blood work. Allison, the nurse assistant and lab techs were all excellent and friendly. I'm glad I found a place that I will not be nervous to go back to!”

“I have been seeing Dr. Frisbie since I was an infant and been going to Sophia Meyer for over 23 years. My entire life and medical experience has been here. I simply called to make a follow up in order to get my medication refilled as I do every six months. I was then told I was an “inactive patient” I was sure this was some kind of mix up and was then directed to Karen the office manager where she so NICELY told me I was “fired” as a patient due to multiple no call no shows. She also recommended I go to a walk in clinic in order to get my medications since I was no longer able to ever be seen again. I will have intense withdrawals from my anxiety medication (effexor 150mg for 8 years).I had asked if they would please provide me the dates I supposedly no called/no show because as stated I only go every 6 months for a checkup in order to receive my medication refills. They were apparently unable to provide this information and said I had received letters to a mailing address that was not correct. So I am no longer able to receive any medical care from my PCP OF OVER 24 years. I was not able to get any information on when this kind of policy came into effect and know for a fact any appointment I had ever missed (maybe twice)I ended up Paying a $50 fee for. Just FYI never received any calls or emails about this. This is negligent when a patient is no longer able to get their medication refilled due to a situation they were completely unaware of. Also 99% of the time my appointments we’re never at the scheduled time but 30/40 minutes past but that is okay right?”

“I have been a patient of this clinic for over 20 years. I have always received great care from the physicians. But today I arrive for my appointment the front desk clerk tells me I’m late for my appointment. I specifically had it in my calendar for 11:30am. Unlike other physicians offices they don’t send texts as a reminder. And have changed staff on a weekly basis it seems for the past 15 years. And to note I am a very responsible and respectful patient. I always make it a point to be at my appointments on time if not early. Regardless, the front desk clerk continues to tell me I’m late, I asked if I could be seen or need to reschedule? She said I have to ask the office manager because you have been late multiple times. I continue to disagree and stated that is not correct. And proceeded to explain that it’s possible that the large number of turn over in office help was the problem. Then the office staff gets up and walks to the other room , the office manager returns and proceeds to tell me the same thing. Again, I explained that the information was not accurate. She said we will see you today. But not again if you are late. WTH? Seriously? I’ve been a patient for over 20 years…... And your records are inadequate, but the patient is punished?? Unbelievable, I found this to be very insulting. Especially since I know without a doubt the information they had was inaccurate. No apology, not respect… And next time I’m asked for PHI information in front of a office full of ppl I’ll bring that to the staff’s attention. Maybe it’s time to find another physician 👩‍⚕️ If the office staff can’t be held accountable or respectful.”

“I went through so much before we even had our first initial apt with her. They called me the day before and told me my daughter's apt was at 11 and I got there at 1020! She said it was really at 10 so she won't see her ever again for being late when really I thought I was early! So I asked for a Dr note for school and she couldn't even do that! I wouldn't send anyone's kids there if they are this evil!”
