What patients say on Google

“I saw him for about 2 years. I would always make my appointments as early as possible because I go to work at 9:30 in the morning and I work 25 minutes away. So I would typically make an 8am appointment. I am not kidding when I say he was late for every single appointment in the span of that time I was seeing him. I understand that sometime things happen. Life gets busy, something comes up, etc. I get that. But every single time? That’s just unprofessional. He would show 45-50 minutes late every appointment. So by the time I actually saw him, I didn’t even have time to talk about anything really because I should’ve been done and leaving for work by then. I would still either barely make it to work or be late. Even when I did talk, he made me feel rushed like I wasn’t just in a room for almost an hour waiting on him. Luckily I am in a much better headspace now and no longer need medication. But if you’re someone still struggling and in need of a reliable psychiatrist, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.”

“I have never written a public review before but felt the need to leave one for Dr. Yechoor. Had a very negative experience. We discussed stopping one of my medications, so I stopped taking it. The next time I saw him, he claimed he only told me to lower the dose, not stop it, but made it seem like he couldn’t find this in his notes from the previous session. He continued asking me how I was doing, and whenever I mentioned feeling different from stopping my medication, he would interrupt me and wave his hand around like he was annoyed that I was bringing it up again. This was not the first nor last time he would interrupt me. Most of the time I really felt like he didn’t remember/write anything about what we talked about from the previous sessions. On a separate session, he went on a very unprofessional rant about how “everyone thinks they have ADHD now”. Which, regardless of your thoughts on that matter, was not the time nor place to vent your personal frustrations to a patient. It did not matter that I had a formal diagnosis from another doctor or had been medicated for the same thing just two years prior. I switched pharmacies halfway through the year of seeing him and without fail, every time my medication was either sent to the old pharmacy or the wrong medication was sent to the old pharmacy regardless of discussing this issue with him a handful of times.”

“I was with the practice for over 6 months and always had the first appointment of the day. Not once did dr yechoor see me before 9am. The policy for patients is to come 15 minutes early. So having to wait 45 minutes for my 3 minute seems ridiculous. The last straw was having to wait a full hour before seeing the dr, again my appointment was the first one of the day. My time is just as important as the doctors but he doesnt seem to think so.”

“I had an appointment at 1015. At 1136 I was still waiting to be seen. I was told he had a new patient appointment. But if scheduled properly why would another patient be waiting an hour and 22 mins and counting to be seen. This is very unfortunate and unprofessional. If you have a new patient appointment then you should allow the proper time set aside from other appointments so that this never happens. It's very inconsiderate of other patients times. No one came to check in on me I had to go out and ask what was going on multiple times smh. I will probably not return and look for another provider.”
