“This is my other Google account (Nathan Knight), but I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Dr. Lisa Fairweather and her incredible team. I have been a patient of Dr. Fairweather since 2015, and finding her practice has truly been a godsend. In all my years working with medical professionals, I have never had a doctor who puts her patients’ needs first the way Dr. Fairweather does. She genuinely cares about every individual who walks through her doors, and that level of care extends throughout her entire office. One of the things that sets Dr. Fairweather apart is the collaborative approach she takes to patient care. She and her team foster a constant feedback loop where patients are encouraged to communicate openly, ask questions, and actively participate in their treatment plans. You are never treated like just another chart, appointment slot, or patient number. You are treated as an individual with unique needs, and the entire office genuinely cares about helping you succeed. Dr. Fairweather and her team do everything within their power—and within reason—to help their patients. Whether it is answering questions, helping with medication management, processing refill requests, assisting with paperwork, or navigating accommodations for school or work, they consistently go above and beyond. They work hard to help patients understand their medications, potential interactions, treatment options, and any changes that may affect their care. What I particularly appreciate is Dr. Fairweather’s commitment to communication and transparency. Healthcare regulations and requirements are constantly changing, especially regarding ADHD medications and controlled substances. When changes occur that are completely outside of her control—whether due to DEA regulations, insurance requirements, medication shortages, or prescribing rules—she always takes the time to explain what is happening and why. She helps patients understand the situation and works diligently to find the best path forward. Frankly, it is disappointing when people direct frustration toward physicians over regulations they did not create and cannot control. Dr. Fairweather and her staff spend countless hours helping patients navigate those challenges. Sometimes medications, dosages, or treatment plans must change because of new regulations or requirements, and she consistently works to make those transitions as smooth as possible while keeping patient care at the forefront. As someone who has personally benefited from her care for over a decade, I can confidently say that Dr. Fairweather has a deep understanding of what patients with ADHD and other disabilities experience. She combines professional expertise with genuine compassion and advocacy. She understands the challenges her patients face and actively supports them in obtaining the resources, accommodations, and documentation they may need to succeed in school, work, and life. I give Dr. Fairweather and her team my highest recommendation. If you or a loved one are struggling with ADHD or another disability and are looking for a physician who truly listens, genuinely cares, and treats you as a person rather than a number, I strongly encourage you to consider Dr. Fairweather’s practice. “I originally rated Dr. Fairweather 5 stars because she was incredible and understanding. I'm rating again, because after I was suicidal I told her what happened. She made me promise to call her if I ever felt that way again. 15 minutes later I got a phonecall from her that they were firing me as a client. No options. I was cash and carry. I had no insurance. They wouldn't even give me one refill on my meds. Cause and effect...since they fired me, my life hasn't been worth living. I've been without meds for the better part of 3 years. My mental issues have kept me from working for a good part of that time. Now, I'm unemployed and living in my car for the last 4 months, losing 4 cats and a bird along the way. Be wary...you CAN and WILL find yourself without a psychiatrist if you say the wrong thing. I never even got an explanation as to what happened. I've spent many long nights trying to figure out how they could treat me like I wasn't worth saving. I was the dirt on their hands that needed to be washed off.”
