What patients say on Google
“Today my son and I met with Victoria and she is so kind! Both front office and back office greet with a smile. Dr. Aman greeted us as well. Got us in and out very quickly. Love it here:)”
“We were referred to Bright Star Psychiatry by our pediatrician specifically to see Dr. Arman for our 13-year-old son. Unfortunately, our experience from start to finish was frustrating. Before we could even schedule an appointment, we spent nearly a month going back and forth over an insurance issue. The office repeatedly insisted our son had a primary insurance that had actually been inactive since December 31, 2024. We were told multiple times to call our insurance ourselves to obtain a reference number, despite the insurance company confirming there was nothing to reference because the policy was no longer active. In my experience working in the medical field, insurance verification is typically handled by the provider's office, not the patient. After finally getting an appointment, we discovered we were not seeing Dr. Arman, despite confirming with the office beforehand that we would. Instead, we saw a physician assistant. During the visit, we completed extensive paperwork that took nearly two hours between the appointment and paperwork. We were also given inaccurate information regarding our insurance benefits, including being told my son could only be seen once a year. After calling our insurance company myself, I learned this was not true. I then spoke directly with Dr. Arman, who clarified the treatment plan, medication management, and confirmed our follow-up appointment would be with him in person. At our follow-up appointment, we were once again questioned about the same inactive insurance. Then we were asked to complete all of the intake paperwork again because the office couldn't find the originals. We declined, as we had already spent hours completing them during the first visit. Losing completed paperwork is an internal office issue, not something patients should have to repeat because of administrative errors. Throughout this process, communication between staff members seemed inconsistent, and we repeatedly received conflicting information. The front office was not particularly welcoming, and the overall experience felt disorganized and unnecessarily stressful. Dr. Arman himself was courteous during the brief interactions we had with him, but unfortunately, we rarely saw the physician we were specifically referred to. Based on our experience, we have decided to seek care elsewhere per our pediatrician because even she is disappointed we are not specifically seeing Dr. Arman.”
“We were referred here by my pediatrician to have my daughter evaluated for autism. The whole process was simple and quick. I was able to get an appt in a timely manner and all the staff members and doctors I have met are helpful and kind.”
“Staff kind and sweet everyone greeted with a smile. A little wait time but nothing crazy. Dr. Aman is amazing very personable made me very comfortable and understand thoroughly the process with no pressure. Victoria was sweet and thorough as well. I really appreciate their process. We will definitely return for further services.”
