“I went to Daymark for over a year because I had severe anxiety and severe depression. I did not learn any coping skills while I was there to help me manage my depression and anxiety. I was required to do weekly group therapy once a week In order to get one on one therapy once a month. The only thing we did in group therapy was set around a table and get updates from everybody on what had happened since the week before when we were there. After about a year and a half I finally stopped going because I was mentally in worse shape than I was the first day I went. My therapist was supposed to be working with me during the individual therapy with grieving the loss of my son. We never started that. I would not recommend anyone wasting their time going to this place because you’re not gonna get any help. I told my therapist I needed more individual therapy and she said that that’s all they offered was once a month. I’m not sure how they think that someone’s gonna get help with only being able to do therapy once a month. You certainly cannot get any help in group therapy if you’re not learning any type of coping skills and all you’re doing is sitting around the table, listening to everyone else’s problems because that’s not helping you work on yours.”

“I had only used maybe three times and I was required to honor my commitment to my probation officer so I came to Daymark last Thursday and been either in the lobby or on a recliner. I was told no problem I would have a bed shortly but everyone who came in has found a bed or quit the detox I have been here for several days the policy was freestyled by staff present tonight treating me like shit arrogant and disrespectful I have been awake for 4 days and instead of honoring their commitment I was disciplined verbally and ignored laying on the floor in the front lobby where the woman with the most seniority toldme I had to wait have not been disrespectful and the treatment has turned into horrible me”

“Chad Blankenship one of the psychiatrist at daymark in Rockingham. Was rude and should not be working in this field and needs to be fired. The man insinuated I was seeking pills which I was not. I was actually looking for help. He also had to nerve to ask if my boyfriend passed away from opiates and this smiled and giggled about it. I’ve reported him to the office manager and I’ll be making a complaint with the medical board tomorrow morning. If he is your psychiatrist I highly recommend switching to someone else. This judgmental prick don’t deserve patients or a license in my opinion”
