What patients say on Google
“Horrible facility. I’ve been on the same medications for 8 years and I’m new to South Carolina. They started my 5 year old son on medication before they even started the process of maintaining mine. My family physician has been prescribing them. Carole doesn’t return phone calls. Megan is the ONLY certified therapist and she turns the focus on herself during YOUR therapy sessions and rolls her eyes a lot. The lady at the front desk with the purple hair is very rude and unprofessional. DO NOT RUN A MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY AND HAVE NO EMPATHY FOR PATIENTS. Get different professions because the only one in that office that has been nice is Wolanda with my 5 year old. She is a great therapist. On top of that I’m pretty sure I know my 5 year old son. His psychiatrist prescribed him medication that specifically prescribed for ADHD and still won’t diagnose him with it, when it hasn’t even completely evened him out yet. I’m with my son every day. I’m a single mother and a full time college student. I’m very intelligent and just have problems regulating my emotions. I’m also on 1000 mg of medication daily. It’s a mental health facility, DO BETTER FOR THE PEOPLE and make yourselves more available! Every appointment I get is durning my school hours/my sons hours AND youse aren’t open on Fridays? Who are you all REALLY there for? Just a check pretty much! If I could give negative stars I would.”
“I have been to this office many times over the years, they have always been professional. I have no bad reports. They are usually really overwhelmed with patients and so you have to stay on top of your appointments or you will fall behind as it will take them a while to get you back in the scheduled, that is the only problem I have ever ran into with them. I would say they probably need more employees to cover the demand. The thing is they are a state funded organization so good luck with that.”
“I had really terrible health insurance last year. This place was the only option for my insurance for psychiatry. Now mental health is a very sensitive thing. I attended the orientation meeting for new patients. I was sick to my stomach the entire time because the employee/therapist that coordinated our orientation smelled like she had smoked an entire pack of cigarettes two minutes before walking into orientation. It was very distracting and unwelcoming. She spoke like she was reading a script and had very little patience. It didn't feel like a place where my mental health could be nutured and Improved. They also made it clear that it was difficult to get in touch with the psychiatrist we would eventually be assigned to and to speak to them we have to go through the therapist. They are understaffed and lack medical composure, resources and professionalism.”
“My kids and I have been coming here for years.. The staff has always been nice, smiley and respectful... But that new woman at the front desk is something else.. She is rude, impatient and always has a tone while speaking to you.. Almost like she is above you. It's making me think about switching to a different doctor office. Ughhhh Update: Understaffed and unprofessional Officially switching to a different office. Some things have been mistakes on my part, but majority of the time my child has suffered due to their negligence. Anyone who deals with this office will eventually be let down and untreated.”
