What patients say on Google
“I had a referral sent to here because I need to be cleared by a psychiatrist in order to have a spinal cord stimulator placed in my back. I filled out the intake packets. In the policy it said that the patient would be responsible for figuring out if the provider was in network. The office called me to schedule and informed me my insurance was not accepted by the practice and would be need to pay $40 as an out of network copay before they can even schedule my appointment. I paid it. I called my insurance to find out if they were in-fact out of network by giving them the provider's NPI#, finding out the SPECIFIC provider WAS in network. I had the first appointment. A few days later, I log onto my bank account and discovered they charged my account $197.99 without notifying me per what is stated on their policy. I immediately called the office. Crazy thing is, the billing portion on the patient portal only says $197, and not $197.99 like on my bank account. I called my insurance and they are reprocessing the claim as in-network. Fast forward a few days to today I had a memory problem. I seriously thought my appointment was at 4pm because of the appointment being on the 4th. I even called not even 30 minutes after the legitimate scheduled time almost crying my eyes out because I missed the appointment. They rescheduled me and then I wanted to confirm they had it in their system as my insurance being in-network. I was told AGAIN that the OFFICE is out of network. I gave up and hung up the phone. A few hours later I discovered they charged my bank account $80 for a no show fee that was not mentioned during the phone call as a courtesy, per stated in the policy. I received letter on the portal saying if I didn't show or call to cancel/reschedule two consecutive appointments I would be removed from the practices patient list, but no where on the document was there a courtesy reminder that I would be charged $80. It is sickening that I spent from the beginning of May playing tug of war with the billing department over insurance and then have money taken from my bank account that I shouldn't even be paying. They were neglecting to do the research on the specific PROVIDERS being in/out of network and not the "practice" as a whole. Crazy how Im required to READ and SIGN policies, and then the policies are not even followed. I should not have been responsible for the cost of services, because my insurance accepted claims by the specific provider. For that reason I will never recommend this office to anybody.”
“I'm going to add an edit. I ended up getting into see Dr. Cox at 150. So I will give them points for them helping me get seen shortly after my initial appointment. However, I really do think that the grace period should be changed. I see two providers, Dr. Cox AND Dr. Chapman. I was running a few minutes late and normally Dr's give a 10 minute grace period. Apparently Dr. Coxs grace period is now 5 minutes. My appt was 120 and I was literally on the screen checking in at 125. The receptionist informed me that the marked me as a no show and I got charged $80 for a no show. That is absolutely ridiculous that there is only a 5 minute grace period. Especially when the appts for medication management only take 5-10 minutes. I will say though, the receptionist went out of her way to find me a slot shortly after my initial appt. Now on to the good. I absolutely love Dr. Chapman. She can be blunt and straight forward which is what I needed. I saw another provider before her and I didnt see any progress with him. With Dr. Chapman, she really made a difference and helped me figure out how to deal with that I had going on mentally.”
“Did the online new patient forms. Which there is tons of online paperwork. I filled it out multiple times and stil nothing. No phone call no email nothing. After reading some of the other reviews from recently interactions makes me nervous. So many online forms.”
“I reached out to this practice because I was specifically looking to see a psychologist. Before I could even schedule an appointment, I had to complete a lengthy amount of paperwork. In both my paperwork and during my phone conversation with the office, I clearly stated that I wanted to see a psychologist. When I arrived for my appointment, I was scheduled with a nurse practitioner instead. I was then informed that they do not have a psychologist on staff. This was extremely frustrating, especially after I had made my request clear from the beginning. To make matters worse, I found that most of the services advertised on their website do not accurately reflect what they actually offer. I found the information to be misleading, and I was very disappointed that I spent so much time completing paperwork and attending an appointment that could never have met my needs. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for the services they advertise without first confirming that those services are actually available.”
