What patients say on Google

“I’ve had an excellent experience with our doctor visits. From the very first appointment (August 2019), the team has been professional, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. They take the time to truly understand each patient’s needs and that makes a real difference. The doctor is attentive and patient, always listening carefully to concerns and explaining things in a clear, reassuring way. The staff is equally supportive, making every visit feel welcoming and stress-free. Scheduling has been smooth, and we love the in-person appointments (when needed) and the telemedicine appointments are greatly appreciated. What stands out most is the genuine care and dedication shown during each visit. It’s clear that helping patients progress and succeed is their top priority. I’ve seen meaningful improvements in my GRANDson thanks to their guidance. I highly recommend the Behavioral Pediatrics of Rural Georgia, Dr. Michelle Zeanah and her staff to anyone looking for a team that combines expertise with kindness and commitment.”

“Terrible experience. Things had begun to get worse at home and because I stressed the fact I needed help we were told we can no longer be seen. If you care about you child's mental health find better services. How a mom that is doing everything possible to be treated in that manner was utterly ridiculous. Everything is by text and video only one in office visit. A 1 star review is entirely too much to be honest.”

“If I could leave less than a star, I would. Our family’s experience with Dr. Brockman at Behavioral Pediatrics of Rural Georgia was extremely upsetting and left a lasting negative impact on our son. From the start, her attitude toward us, my wife, our child, and me, was dismissive and condescending. There was no empathy or patience, just a cold, rushed approach that made an already stressful situation even harder. Both our in-person visit and the follow-up video call felt hurried. Dr. Brockman made it clear that we “shouldn’t need more than 20 minutes” to go over what turned out to be life-changing information about our son. That attitude felt unprofessional and insensitive, especially considering how serious the conversation was. During the evaluation, I was scolded in front of our son simply because I said, “Look, she has blocks.” Our son is very aware and sensitive to tone and emotion, so being corrected like that in front of him was completely unnecessary and inappropriate. It created tension in what was already an emotional and fragile setting. After this visit, our son’s speech therapist, who sees him twice a week, noticed an immediate change. He had always gone back to his sessions alone without hesitation, but after this appointment, he became reluctant and anxious. She directly attributed that regression to how upsetting this evaluation had been for him. When we tried to reach out to Dr. Zeneah to share our concerns, she refused to speak with us. We then asked to speak with the COO, who told us that Dr. Zeneah had said if we weren’t willing to work with Dr. Brockman, then “we aren’t right for the practice,” and instructed them to “give them discharge papers.” She never even called us to hear our side of the story. That kind of response from leadership was shocking and incredibly disappointing especially from a practice that claims to specialize in children’s behavioral health. The facility itself was also unpleasant. It’s located in an old YMCA building with a strong odor, and my son was evaluated in a small, windowless cinder block room with just a table and a chair. It felt cold, sterile, and intimidating, not at all a child-friendly or safe environment. The entire evaluation lasted maybe 10–15 minutes. During that time, Dr. Brockman made several insensitive remarks, saying things like our son was “the first” she’d ever seen act that way and questioning whether he was a “normal child.” Those words were deeply hurtful. She ended by saying he “seems to be autistic” and might be having mini seizures, then told us to see a neurologist, with no guidance, resources, or support. After waiting weeks for the appointment and driving over an hour and a half to get there, we left feeling confused, disheartened, and even more lost than before. We are not people who complain or leave bad reviews. We also are not in denial about the possibility that our son may be on the autism spectrum, we just want to be in an environment where our child and our family feel respected, supported, and safe. Unfortunately, this practice is not that place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE. PLEASE.”

“Yall need staff with better attitudes. Also I find it ridiculous my son was seen here and my daughter was set to be able to come there but now she can’t be seen. Ridiculous. I will be requesting all my sons files and moving him elsewhere”
