“I am deeply appreciative of the amazing care, counseling and support I received from DAY ONE when I walked into the BEACON BEHAVIORAL PROGRAM. Trying to handle a plethora of personal matters that seemed to cascade through my life all in a short period of time left me feeling more overwhelmed that I could possibly manage. For a period of time, I was able to put on the smile and muster up enough to barely make it through each day—in order to care for my hubby and put in 12 hours at work. But thankfully (YES!)…..my amazing manager at work pulled me into a private room at work. Her compassionate delivery confronted my “mask” that I thought was pretty convincing—and totally DISARMED me. I was embarrassed, totally exposed for the IMAGE I’d fought so hard to maintain. In essence, all the walls I’d enclosed around me came tumbling down. She removed every emotional crutch that I’d surrounded myself into and let me know that I had to receive the help that I desperately needed to regain my WHOLENESS. It was at this point that an amazing doctor directed me to BEACON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. In a group therapy setting with the amazing therapist named Jess that I attended faithfully over a one month period, the healing process took place. I finished my sessions with 98% MORE HOPE than I’d ever imagined having again. A great therapist, all of the awesome additional support staff and the amazing dynamics of group therapy gave me the hope, healing and drive to resume my career, enjoy my family and friends and return to a fulfilling life. God bless the entire BEACON family for being that “light” for so many. I pray Beacon is around for a long time to continue to provide the amazing care it provides!!!”
