“This place is so brainwashing for clients. They mistreat them behind closed doors. They don't take anything the clients tell them seriously they laugh it off and joke about it when the client is gone. They say " oh they do that it's all lies" the tangent at ALL centers are incompetent and have no knowledge of what they are doing. They should just shut it down. I have never seem such a dysfunctional place. DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE FOR HELP they will not get it.”

“If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My boyfriend went here not too long ago, every time I made a call they would be very unhelpful, and when I requested him they screamed at him until they got his attention. They didn’t provide a toothbrush or any essentials upfront or tell him he had to ask, because every time he asked for essentials like bath towels, they would act like it was a chore and shoo him off. They provide horrible food for health and when my boyfriend refused to eat it, they didn’t care. He would rot in his room, and they refused to get him out of there or give him anything to do. When he asked for a mental check in, they took him outside and left him there. Never go to this place, they treat their patients like prisoners and don’t actually care about their mental health. They care about their pay wage more than anything. Horrible place, should be shut down.”

“I had an appointment at 4:15 today. I got there at 3:58 and was told that the counselor I was there to see was on Maternity Leave. The lady said that they called everyone today. I told that no one called me. She looked up my name and said oh they have not gotten to you yet. MY APPOINTMENT WAS IN 17 MINUTES! I am very irritated. This is not the first time that something like this has happened. They don’t apologize or acknowledge the mistake. If I had not shown up for an appointment, I would have to start the whole process again! My time is important as well!”

“Do not come to Avita if you are black. This is a mostly white organization. They do not care about anyone especially if you are black. Staff are rude, nonchalant, confusing & incompetent. You can tell they are there for a pay check. I attempted to be seen at the Gainesville clinic which is a joke. They give you the run around & none of them are on the same page. You can hear the office staff talking loud & gossiping. They are a waste of government resources & should be shut down.”
