“If you’re looking for a psychiatry office who will actually listen to your concerns, that’s truly focused on helping you then this place is for you! First impressions: the office vibes are super relaxed, it always smells so good, and it’s just so… peaceful! Every time I walk in the lobby it’s just instant tranquility. My children and me have been patients here for a couple years now and there is not one bad thing to say about them! My children see Mrs. Ashleigh, and I see Mrs.Stephanie. Both providers are professional, compassionate, respectful, and kind. I don’t feel like I’m rushed to get out of the appointment like with other doctors! They spend time checking in on me and how things are going with our medications. They care and it shows! They even have a patient portal, which allows me to send a message to my provider and I get a response back quickly! If I call the front office and I don’t get through, I can leave a voicemail and lady running the front always calls me back. I don’t have one bad thing to say about Alchemy! BUT…maybe open up on Fridays?! Just kidding! It’s okay, I’m willing to overlook that part because the quality of care I receive is worth it!”

“Bottom line: recommend you stay away until they replace and improve reception (yes that bad) My wife was excited to get the help she needed and truly enjoyed working with Stephanie. Unfortunately reception here is unprofessional, incompetent, and as many other reviews would suggest, needs to be improved. I don’t think the individual working reception is fit for their job and I hope the owner/managers here can look at the compelling list of negative feedback on them and can take action. Providers are good but access to them is substantially hurting their business and more importantly the patients. Canceling appointments without phone calls to patients is unprofessional. Being rude to patients (who are in mental health treatment!!) on the phone is unacceptable.”

“Stephanie Canal seems caring in person and wants to listen to her patients. However, it is nearly impossible to get ahold of this practice by phone. When my other providers tried calling to coordinate with Stephanie, they could never get ahold of reception. My other providers advised me to switch practices since no one could reach reception. Alchemy then switched their policy without telling anyone - if you do not confirm an appointment, they will automatically cancel it and charge you a $50 fee. I learned this when I showed up to my SCHEDULED appointment, and the building was locked and all of the lights were off (mind you, my appointment was scheduled by Stephanie at my last appointment with her and it was scheduled for a time during office business hours). I then logon to the portal to send a message about my appointment and about the building being locked, and I see that someone had canceled my appointment at 8:30am the morning of my scheduled appointment - with a previous message stating the above message. I did not get a phone call or other notification. Just a message on my portal that I had to LOG IN to see what they had done, after I had driven 45 minutes one way to my scheduled appointment. If you’re looking for help with your mental health, stay far away from this practice.”

“Since my very first visit 2 years ago, I have been treated with nothing less than respect, dignity and compassion from any and all employees at Alchemy Healthy Minds & Wellness. I consider myself so fortunate to be under the care of Stephanie Canal! Stephanie’s education and experience is extensive and impressive to anyone seeking medication management. She has an immense understanding of medications whether prescribed, over the counter or homeopathic. She takes the time to explain the pros and cons, including possible side effects or adverse reactions that may occur when starting, stopping or adjusting medications. She also has an appreciation for the financial impact that sometimes comes with medications. She is always ready and willing to listen to my concerns, ideas or opinions. She is better than any provider I’ve ever had when it comes to following up or returning calls or messages. I truly believe that Stephanie is committed and dedicated to helping her patients achieve overall wellness. I don’t know what more a patient could ask for but if I did ask for something more I have no doubt she would do everything within her power to provide it.”
