What patients say on Google
“Date: March 15, 2026 Dear Pamela Bridgeman, I would like to sincerely thank you for the excellent work you did in helping me with evaluation and documentation. Your professionalism, patience, and attention to detail throughout this process meant a great deal to me. the VA process can be overwhelming, but your guidance and support made it much easier. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into ensuring that my evaluation and supporting information were handled with care and accuracy. Your work has played an important role in helping me move forward with my life. Please know that your dedication and commitment to helping veterans does not go unnoticed. I am very grateful for the assistance you provided and the respect you showed throughout this process. Thank you again for your outstanding support. Respectfully, U.S. Army Veteran Dupree E. Walker”
“I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly, especially when it comes to mental health. But I feel a responsibility to be honest so others can make informed decisions. I came to this practice during one of the hardest times in my life, looking for support, safety, and stability. Instead, I was dropped by my therapist—abruptly and without genuine transparency. The justification given was “clinical appropriateness,” but it was clear the real issue was complications with insurance. Let’s be honest: therapy is supposed to be a safe space. To be left high and dry in the middle of a crisis, under the guise of professional ethics, was not only disheartening—it was harmful. If you're considering this practice, I strongly encourage you to ask hard questions about what happens if things become messy, if your insurance shifts, or if you become a more complex case. Because support shouldn’t come with fine print.”
“I have tried therapy in years past with little to no results, until I found AHJCC. I have never had breakthrough like this before. I truly feel like something has lifted and I am on my way. I can honestly say had I not found AHJCC... I think I would still be struggling with the same old unresolved issues.”
“I have known Ms. Bridgeman and A Healing Journey Counseling & Consultation, LLC for over seven years. I am very familiar with the critical and professional mental health services they provide. As a Navy Combat Veteran, I have been diagnosed with combat related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I currently mentor other Veterans who suffer with PTSD mental health disorders. Ms. Bridgeman served in the United States Air Force. While serving in Germany, she played a key role in addressing the mental health conditions and counseling to U.S. Military Personal who experienced traumatic car bombing events at U.S. facilities. These traumatic bombings events were normally conducted in Germany, by what was then referred to as the "Red Brigade", and its affiliates. Additionally, Mr. Bridgeman is also a Vietnam Veteran. Ms. Bridgeman and her staff are the most dedicated and professional mental health experts I have ever encountered. She and her staff provide critical mental health services to Veterans, First Responders and Family Members, as well as the community at large. They are professionally thorough in every aspect of the mental health profession, and among the very best. It is very well documented that Veterans and First Responders experience a much higher suicide rate than the general civilian population. I know, as a matter of fact, that Ms. Bridgeman and her staff has greatly reduced my personal suicidal thoughts, due to service connected PTSD, through mental health education and coping skills. I learned to understand my "triggers" and how to deal and cope with them. I have been told by numerous Veterans that she and her staff has done the same for them. In know without any doubt that Ms. Bridgeman and her staff conducts themselves in a most caring, dedicated, and professional manner. Overall, they are "Impeccable", and have earned and deserve a "Five Star +++", rating in the mental health profession. I "Sincerely Thank Them All" for their professional, exceptional and dedicated mental health services. Last but not least, I thank Ms. and Mr. Bridgeman for their personal sacrifice and dedicated service to "Our Great Nation"! Very Respectfully, Gary S. Conley Major, Armor United States Army (Retired)”
