“DON'T COME HERE! WORST "PSYCHIATRIST" EVER! I started seeing Emily Rees at Zebra Psychiatric & Wellness Services in Jan 2025; I saw her for 9 months. During this time my life was crazy and I made a lot of mistakes, which I was open and honest about everything with her. Rather than being compassionate, understanding, gracious, and encouraging, Emily was very judgmental, didn't believe critical things I told her, and treated me like scum and a drug addict, because of energy drink addiction I was open and honest about due to multiple medical problems causing chronic fatigue. She told me when I gave her my Diagnoses and Meds Lists, that she needed to see records from my previous Psych, and couldn’t just take my word for it that I have those diagnoses. She said the same thing at the end when I got out of Dublin Springs inpatient and my meds had been drastically changed. She said she needed to see records from DS and couldn’t trust me telling her my new meds. Then she sent my new meds to my pharmacy wrong, on purpose, without even discussing it with me. She has COMPLETELY NO IDEA how to speak to or relate with mentally ill persons, and SHOULD NOT be allowed to practice as a CNP Psychiatrist. She is a TERRIBLE “Psychiatrist” and SHOULD NOT be allowed to practice medicine nor work with the mentally ill. SHE FIRED ME FOR NO REASON. I'd emailed her and initiated a dialogue about the Social Security Disability form that she denied to complete 4 days prior; however, when I asked her about this, before I even started seeing her, she said she would so long as it didn’t require an MD signature, which it doesn’t. I also requested her to prescribe my medications as is from Dublin Springs, from the Psychiatrist Doctor there, who said that some people need 2 antipsychotics, and in those cases, it’s okay. I'd been waking up at 3 am for 4 months since Emily Rees insisted that I must quit Seroquel entirely, even though I have Insomnia from PTSD, and she lowered it from 800 mg to 600 mg. I wasn’t inappropriate or unprofessional at all. She gave me 30 days of prescriptions ONLY, meaning I had to find a new Psychiatrist in 30 days. She gave me no referrals, not even when I asked for them. She fired me 2 weeks after I got out of inpatient stay at Columbus Springs Dublin for 7 days, where they made major changes to my medication, and discovered that I’d been at toxicity level of Lithium for a decade The Psychiatrist Doctor at DS said she was surprised I didn’t have any seizures and attributed my severe hand tremor to the Lithium overdose. I’m not involved in my care with Emily. She makes all the decisions. I just have to do as I’m told. I'm not allowed to question her authority or advocate for myself, or she'll fire me. She is unknowledgeable – she didn’t know that caffeine falsely lowers Lithium levels. I talked to her extensively about my energy drink addiction due to chronic tiredness caused by several medical problems, but she never believed me. I'd been at toxicity level of Lithium for the past decade, including 9 months under Emily’s care. She didn’t know this. According to my new Endocrinologist, Lithium was causing an extreme disturbance in my Thyroid, and my tiredness, which she didn’t know either. I've had really bad hand tremor and severe muscle twitches. Emily is super judgmental – she's been very disapproving, angry, compassionless, judgmental, and doubtful – didn’t believe I have Thyroid problems nor Developmental PTSD - treated me like a liar and scumbag. She is arrogant, pompous, has poor bedside manner, utterly compassionless, doesn’t understand people with mental illness, no good will towards mankind, would probably only get along with patients so long as (1) she’s the boss, (2) is treated like the boss, (3) the patient only says and does things that she agrees with, (4) conducts themselves in a manner that is all rainbows and unicorns, (5) the patient is successful in their lives, (6) and only has one or maybe two diagnoses, but you can’t even tell.”
