“When my family members’ nurse practitioner abruptly and unexpectedly became unavailable, I was hesitant about them seeing a new psychiatrist. At the time, it felt like the worst possible time for a change, but looking back, I truly believe it was God’s intervention. No one could have gotten them through what Dr. Negron-Munoz has. She is absolutely wonderful with my teenage family member—approachable, personable, and able to connect with them in a way that makes them feel understood. She doesn’t just listen, but also engages them in meaningful debate and gently challenges them toward more positive thinking. Their rapport is excellent, and I have seen such a difference in them since starting with her. Although communication with the office phones can sometimes be a challenge, the care and expertise she provides are beyond worth the wait. I could not be more grateful for the impact she’s had on their life. Always take her time, never make them feel rushed. One time she came in when it was still dark outside, spent almost two hours with them until she got them out of a crisis and back on track. I know she ran behind all day because of it; therefore, I will never complain no matter how long we have to wait to see her. I now affectionately call her the teenager whisperer.”

“This place has went completely downhill since the NP left. I have had appointments canceled and then appointments where nobody shows up. I was not able to make an appointment scheduled and let them know and Rosa wanted to charge me a $175 cancelation fee. I needed an appointment for my son but since they canceled my appointment for my son in March he had to be seen as a new patient again. This place is ran horribly and happy to take our business elsewhere since clearly there is a struggle happening within this company. We have been with this company for almost 3 years. So sad.”

“It is with happiness that I write this review of Dr. Rosa Negron-Munoz and Yantra Psychiatric Services. When I first met Dr. Negron and her staff, I was in a deep depression. I was being released from a hospitalization and my husband was somewhat frantic to find a new psychiatrist for me. Luckily, Dr. Negron was on the ‘short list’ of recommended doctors in the Lakeland area. Even luckier, she had ‘room’ in her busy schedule to see me. Thus, my journey towards recovery began. Dr. Negron is very good at what she does. She is exceptionally smart, kind, compassionate, generous and, yes, even funny at times. She is also sincerely concerned with her patients’ and their families’ well-being, far more than most psychiatrists. And, Dr. Negron doesn’t seem limit her interventions to medication changes, although she is skilled at them. She is widely inclusive of her patients’ family members, as she returns their phone calls and includes them in consultations without regard to extra time spent. Dr. Negron’s sessions with her patients are meaningful, insightful and practical. She draws upon a multitude of therapeutic approaches towards mental health and will bring in other professionals and psychological services when needed to compliment her o ill wn treatment. In addition to all this, Dr. Negron and her dedicated support staff are bilingual and multicultural, which add to the already existing climate of respect and understanding that they provide to their patients. I do not think I could recommend Dr. Negron and Yantra Services higher than they deserve. They are truly a gift to those of us who need their services.
