How likely are you to recommend WNY Psychiatry & Counseling Associates?
What patients say on Google
“I see a few individuals at WNY Psych & Counseling. Colleen (provider) helps manage my meds for anxiety, and Nicole (counselor) is helping me finally navigate the past trauma in my life with EMDR therapy. They are both exceptional at what they do, and at being just good humans. The office staff is wild but in the absolute best way. If you walk in feeling down, you’ll be laughing at one of the girls up front before you sit down to wait. The office and staff are so laid back, you just feel comfortable even being there.”
“A great office. Never had any issues with scheduling. They got me in relatively fast when I really needed it. I saw Toni Steinbarth for about a year and a half and I credit her greatly in helping me to help myself. She is a great listener and I never felt judged one bit. I was in a very dark place when I started therapy and while things are not perfect now, I feel much more confident in my ability to deal with the things that life throws at me.”
“I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional expertise found within those who work for WNY Psychiatry & Counseling Associates. Upon my initial visit, I approached it with reluctance and defensiveness. My attitude was characterized by stubbornness, and I tested the limits of the therapeutic relationship. I began my interactions with Dr. Croglio with a sense of anticipation for the worst, as my previous experiences with psychiatrists and therapists often led to the worst case scenarios. However, Dr. Croglio has proven to be an exceptional doctor; he's gained my trust over time and has given me hope for the future. Despite my challenging demeanor, he demonstrated unwavering professionalism, commitment, and resilience. Rather than giving up, he consistently sought innovative approaches to support my mental health, including connecting me with therapists who could provide additional benefits and adjusting my medication to enhance my overall well-being. As a result of Dr. Croglio's dedication, I have transformed from a difficult and at times condescending patient to someone who is eager to engage in the therapeutic process. His commitment has inspired me to not give up just yet and invest in my own mental health journey. My ideology has changed since he continues to put forth such effort on my behalf; It is my responsibility to reciprocate by maintaining an open mind and actively participating in my treatment. This is my journey with WNY Psychiatry & Counseling Associates. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, and I hope that my insight may encourage others to join WNY Psychiatry & Counseling Associates on their path toward improving their mental health and enhancing their overall well-being.”
“Unfortunately, not the best 1st experience at this practice. There was a bit of a wait for my intake appointment but that's probably more because of my work schedule. I got hopelessly lost trying to find the location and was scolded by staff there that "most people know how to use Google maps" and I should have called. Uhm, ok. I didn't call because I figured I'd be on hold for 30 minutes, but thanks for the condescending response. I didn't finish all the intake paperwork because I had questions that I figured I could ask at my appointment. So the staff took my phone to log me into the patient portal (I couldn't remember my password so I'm not sure what she could have done). I was too agast to grab my phone back. Waiting in the waiting area, I could hear every single word being said from that office. Which brings me to the state of the office itself. It was... very decorated, to say the least. It was cluttered and overwhelming and some items were not necessarily in the best taste, or at least comfortable for a wide range of people. The appointment itself went ok.. lots of questions that I was very open and forthcoming about. But when I mentioned my overall goal, I was told there were no therapists that could assist me in one specific area. And I was given a business card for another practice. So, I cancelled the follow up appointment, which wasn't with a therapist, but with the intake doctor again. I'm going to give that other place a call...”
