How likely are you to recommend Winding Path Psychotherapy?
What patients say on Google
“Li is a very caring knowledgeable therapist who I would recommend to anyone feeling the need to talk through any of life’s issues”
“Sheila Johnson is incredible. Among her vast experience and credentials, she is an expert with somatic experiencing, a nationally recognized leader in the field. If you’re looking for general talk therapy, this is not it. If you have unprocessed trauma and are interested in the type of work described in books like The Body Keeps the Score or Waking the Tiger, you can find no better resource in the Midwest. Highly recommend.”
“Sheila was great until things seemingly got too serious. Towards the end of me seeing her, I had become very helpless and no longer saw a point in living. When this was brought up to her, she asked if I would willingly go to a hospital. I said no. So rather then handling the situation like a responsible therapist would, she ultimately told me that she believed life was ours to do with it as we pleased - including ending it. I was asked if I thought I'd make it home safe and despite being unsure, she let me leave the building. Luckily, I was encouraged by a good friend to go to the hospital later on that day, but had this been someone in an even lower place than I was or someone without a good support system, she could've easily encouraged someone to take their own life. Not only that, but when I was released from the hospital, we had one last session together where she essentially dropped me as a client because it was all too much for her. I was told she referred me to another therapist closer to where I had moved to, but upon speaking with them, they had no idea what I was talking about. She also stated she would call and check in to see whether or not things were going well with this new therapist, but I never heard from her again after that last meeting. Thankfully, I am in good hands now and doing better than I have I years, but I can't say it was any thanks to her.”
“Sheila is a very kind, caring, safe and knowledgeable therapist. She is one of a kind!”
