What patients say on Google
“Dr. Durrant is probably one of the worst providers to see. She misdiagnosed my child, blamed her parents who she met twice for a lack of concern (not true), and should not be trusted. Stay far away.”
“I normally don't write negative reviews — ever. I've been in and out of therapy since I was 8 years old, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a therapist. I want to be clear: this is not about the company as a whole, but specifically about the therapist I personally saw. I feel it's important to share my experience for others who may be considering starting therapy here, because feeling cared for and safe is crucial in any therapeutic relationship. Whenever I sought guidance, the therapist would often just stare at me and ask if I was expecting her to say something — which, of course, I was. That's what I was there (and paying) for. When I asked for specific tools or strategies to help with issues I clearly articulated, she simply said she couldn’t help. This left me wondering why I was continuing to pay for a service that offered me no support or solutions. What ultimately led me to stop attending sessions was an interaction that made me feel judged and uncomfortable. I was expressing how world events were impacting me emotionally, and mentioned that many people at my workplace, and my customers which tend to lean more liberal, were also feeling disheartened. She abruptly snapped, “This isn’t a liberal place, not everyone here is liberal.” While I fully respect different views, it was the tone and manner in which it was said that made me feel dismissed, and unheard. As a client, I should never feel that my therapist is imposing personal views during sessions. Therapy should be a neutral, safe space. I truly dislike writing negative reviews, and I understand that sometimes a therapist and client simply don't "click," which is okay. But crossing professional boundaries — like sharing personal political views — is concerning and, in my opinion, needs to be addressed. My hope is that sharing this experience will help others make an informed decision when seeking care.”
“Dr. Durrant is a compassionate leader and excellent practitioner. Whole Wellness Counseling provides an essential service to the community. Find healing at the hands of passionate professionals who are well experienced and multifaceted in modalities of treatment.”
“Dr. Durrant is an exceptional professional who is sensitive to the importance of practicing at multiple levels to address needs. In addition, Dr. Durrant is knowledgeable in many areas, including how theory and practice inform one another, which makes their approach phenomenal. It has truly been an honor and a learning experience working with Dr. Durrant.”
