What patients say on Google

“I truly cannot say enough good things about Brandi Cornell. From the very first session, I felt completely safe, heard, and understood. She creates such a supportive and non-judgmental space that makes it easy to open up and do the real work. I always leave sessions feeling lighter, more grounded, and with practical tools I can actually use in my everyday life. Working with Brandi has genuinely been life changing. I’m so grateful I found them.”

“I referred a friend who lives in Buffalo to Dr. Durrant. My family & I have received services at the Ithaca location and if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. My Buffalo friend was having similar issues so I suggested Dr.Durrant’s Orchard Park office. Her family is completely changed now (in a phenomenal way)! She is extremely thankful for the referral and subsequent therapy. I am posting on her behalf as this is a sensitive topic and she is a high profile lady in the public eye. She, as well as myself, couldn’t recommend this office more!!!”

“My counseling was fine, but my experience with the billing was so abysmal I had to terminate treatment. The billing person had no clue what they were doing. They told me they accept BOTH my primary and secondary insurances. Not true. They're only in-network with Medicare and Independent Health. They also charge above customary rates, which means that you may be stuck with the difference even after deductibles or copays. They may want to take payment from you up front and stick you with applying to your own insurance co for reimbursement, even though hardly any insurance co's do that. Do NOT give them your credit card. They took payments willy-nilly out of my credit card without first telling me when they were going to do so, how much or why. I had to push push push their billing office to clear up their wrongfully submitted insurance claims and make sure they went to the right source. They just would not follow up correctly. Again, my actual counselor was fine. It's the practice itself I don't recommend. As to the response from the business below: No, these matters were *not* explained correctly or completely at the time. The rest amounts to a cop-out into vague-isms about "it can be frustrating and complex" or invocations of "larger social forces." *I* certainly understood my policy very well. If you want to get paid, it is on your office to follow through with the correct information provided by clients and insurers. If you can't be bothered to follow up w/ insurers and/or wait for payment, be up front about that. Tell all clients that instead, you're going to be very quick on the draw w/ charging their credit card on file. Whatever you find "sustainable" for your business, make sure your policies and office practices are consistent and clear even as you "grow." At any rate, the client should not have to eat the overhead costs. If I had known all this up front, I would not have sought care there.”
