What patients say on Google
“If could give 0 stars I would. Took my kids in for help with a divorcee and instead of helping kids they cause more legal matters. Justine was inexperienced and jumped quickly to her own conclusions. If you want to get help go elsewhere! Everyone was better off without them.”
“Dr T has a complete disregard for the welfare of his patients. He asks his patients if they have any questions and prefers to hear no. I had a few questions which sent him into a tirade of insults directed towards me. I simply informed him of a side effect his patient was experiencing and he denied it being a side effect and told me that it was my fault and to force his patient to do “fix the problem” (I later confirmed with my pharmacist that it was indeed a side effect). After asking other questions regarding medications he prescribed, he yelled at me telling me I was not a doctor and told us not to come back (which was the greatest blessing to have the opportunity to find a doctor who cares about his patients and not money). He prefers to keep his patients uneducated and appointments to no longer than 5 minutes so he can process as many patients and make the most money from insurance companies and Medicaid.”
“I went to Westlund for a few years after being hospitalized around 17. Had a great counselor named Carrie for about a year but had to switch to a new one after she accepted a job elsewhere. From there I began to see Delilah sporadically, she was nice but not very effective. Young and inexperienced, went by the books a lot. After not clicking with her and needing treatment for trauma regarding recovery from drug problems I was set up with Nicole S. She and I initially clicked but as we progressed with our sessions I felt her treatment method was not very conducive to my needs. I feel like overall she missed whatever points I was trying to convey about my thought/feeling process and how it affected me and my ability to make the correct decisions in life. She asked questions that I felt were off-base, kind of digging in the wrong direction. Again, young and maybe lacking in real life experience a little. She also had a very subtle snide/smug air about her that I tried not to notice and give the benefit of the doubt to until towards the end of our sessions when it fully manifested. I had decided to end our sessions indefinitely to see how I would do without therapy as I felt my last session with Nicole was not great, plus I was doing all right on my own anyway. I was told by various staff that I would have 90 days from my last session to decide before they closed my case and I’d have to do the intake process over again. I had called and confirmed this with the front office, and then received a call from Nicole herself to confirm that she would call me again in another month to check in, and that after two calls if I didn’t want to come back she would close the case. The whole conversation sounded like it came through gritted teeth on her end, like she was irritated with me which I don’t think was necessary. Well, just about a month later (mind you I hadn’t received another call from her yet) I went through an extremely traumatic experience and knew I needed to start up therapy again right away. When I called Westlund and spoke to the front office they told me my case had already been closed without my knowledge and even after having them speak to whoever was in charge, nothing could be done and I’d have to file an intake form and start all over again. It was extremely distressing to me that my case was closed without my consent and I suspect that it was done on purpose. And if so, that’s petty. You are health professionals dealing with people that have altered mental states, so that comes off as very insensitive and inconsiderate, and overall unprofessional. In reality it was probably a blessing in disguise as I’m seeing a wonderful therapist now and have made tangible progress. Although more expensive, this experience really taught me that you get what you pay for! If you can afford it, I highly reccomend that anyone in the Saginaw area seek psychological services elsewhere.”
“Therapist and workers are great therapist are awesome but the phycratrist are actually very rude stay away from the talahsee or whatever the names are I had to go back to white pine mental institute because of her husband now I have his wife not only do they not listen they are very rude and assume your a drug addict for being adhd lol I've been diagnosed with adhd took my meds for years my mother got into argument with her husband because abilify made me more depressed and I wanted my adhd pill back he took me off for abilify i guess it means I went through withdrawal lol so i went back to white pine and Got my medications back to normal then slowly quit them all again sadly i was young and dumb. If you have kids go to saginaw phyc they actually listen to you I'll slowly be switching back soon not only was she rude and didnt understand i have no vehicle or licence to get exact things done today she couldn't even help me out on where to go she told me to figure it out myself and ignored me. I'm actually very offended due to the fact I had to go to whitepine cus of her hubsand but also very sad ill prolly be leaving my therapist to go back sag phyc i have to get a referal paper to get out of here to go back not a drug addict dont want to be one nor treated like one nor don't want to be treated so rudley was the main problem if you just need a therapist perfect place for yah they are awesome”
