“⭐⭐PLEASE READ⭐⭐: There seems to be a huge difference in the posts from YEARS ago and now more recently. I'll admit seeing CPC's rating of 2 ⭐ really made me nervous when we were admitting our child, but this is where our child needed to be to get better. They just recently discharged our child and I cannot say enough wonderful things about their care and help to get my child back to their new normal. It's scary to know you're sending your child to live somewhere that isn't highly rated. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Every time I was there for a visit or picking my child up, or even times I was left crying because being a parent dealing with this and trying to support our children when they're struggling is both difficult and heartbreaking. The time I was told to leave by my child because they got upset really broke my heart. Staff came in to chat and gave me time to get myself back together and made sure I didn't need anything else before I left was just something no one HAD to do. They truly are wonderful. I always had nice and truly supportive staff to help with whatever we needed. The therapist and NP (as well as the entire care team) we had are truly angels and I feel like they become a part of your family. There is a trust there that I would never imagine feeling. They helped our family through one of the worst times in our lives and never once were anything other than loving and willing to go to lengths to get whatever we needed taken care of. I'm not sure if it's more about the patient and not wanting to get better or haven't hit their "rock bottom that causes the low ratings, but we had hit past rock bottom and needed any help we could get. This place saved our child as well as our family. Remember: you only get out what you put in. Of course the food wasn't great, but tell me a place where you're going to ENJOY ANY meal at any facility where you're getting this type of mental health treatment. You won't find a better facility with staff that truly love their job and in case it's not common knowledge - mental health staff typically are not high on the salary spectrum. They do this because they love it and truly enjoy their jobs. I felt this from the first intake appointment until discharge. Thank you Kristy & Yvee! You truly are the best. We will miss you!💚 Keep up the amazing work you guys do!”

“Ive seen some other reveiws and glad were speaking out about this. I was here for 2 months in 2023. Ive written other reveiws that have gotten filterd so im gonna simplify this one. This place is horrilbe, toxic, and not a great place to send your child whom is in need of help and support. This place strips your rights, and its a privlage to shower or use the bathroom or eat a snack or come out your room. Youre taugbt very strict rules and if you dont follow them youre what feels shamed. They neglect basic needs, and staff are toxic. I just found out from a former staff at cpc wny, some staff have relations to each other or are substance abusers. Those are not people you want around your struggling child. This place in not inclusive to those with physcial or mental disabilities. What, so ever. It is also not accomodating to needs or accomodations. Please do your research on the lawsuits before sending your child here. If youre a child whose been here, speak out. New york state could do better, and you deserve better. This place helps some, but mainly traumatizes children more. Speak up.”

“Now I can say, seeing all these reviews are very true… I was here for 7 months during 2023 and and all I can say is the staff are very very rude to you, your basic rights are taken like going to the bathroom as well as just basically speaking about anything… I was a kid who never had any alerts and never got in trouble here but being here I can say I saw kids get abused and discriminated against everyday of the week. The only person who made my days better in here was Mr. Jeremy, I dont know if he still works there but he was always there for me to talk to whether it was something I needed or if it was just advice, he was one of the very few staff who understood our problems and didnt face us with punishment for it but rather taught us how to get through it and heal from it. Hes the only reason I gave this 2 stars, it wouldve been 1 star. Poor treatment here as well as they put me on a drug that was killing my liver and made me extremely sick and made me stay on it for 4 of the months. Send your kid to somewhere else. Even though im better and im adult on my own, I recommend to get better treatment. Edit, I forgot to speak on the fact of my first week being here another patient had attacked me not once… but twice and not only did they get no punishment but I was forced to see them everyday. As well, I never saw a pool also on top of that, I was diagnosed with NOTHING, I was here for 7 months to come out with a waste of my time, my parents assumed something was wrong with me just because I would argue their every authority. I was basically imprisoned here and got nothing out of it.”

“Okay okay so I spent about 5 1/2 months here through our spring till the end of school break. It was really hard for me to adjust due to the very strict and humiliating rules. It was even harder not being able to see my family. I was allowed only 1 visitor to see once a week. I was allowed less than 15 minutes a call every day that the staff would sometimes tell me I couldn't call because it's too late even tho they make a list of people going first than last. The rooms are horrible. Gross dirty, full of bugs, and overall smell pretty bad. I could barely sleep due to the staff yelling and talking extremely loud. They would let people stay up all night screaming (like on the top of their lungs.) Staff are pretty rude and some male staff are really creepy. You would get into trouble for even playing with Barbies and dolls. The one good thing that came out of the many months I had their was them getting me an official autism diagnosis.”
