How likely are you to recommend Wellstar Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“I DO NOT RECOMMEND! It’s almost impossible to get someone on the phone whenever you need to speak to your provider. You get very little results by using the MYCHART app though that’s suppose to give a quicker response. They have 1 phone number that you can call and John gets irritated when you call him too many times about the same thing. If people are already going through mental health issues why make their lives harder? But yeah, NO! Oh and let’s not mention how they often change providers every year literally.”
“BEWARE, now that Wellstar owns the Augusta university clinics they charge you double fees. They NEVER mentioned this. I went and was charged twice per visit, one for “facility fee” (the well star building) and then the fee for the actual appointment with the Augusta university staff. It’s ridiculous. They never told me this and when I had to contact financial offices (of course no where local to us) it was like pulling teeth to get any sort of actual resolution to the issue. Just kept getting “okay we will send to our review team and it will take them 14 days to contact you”, did this twice and they never contacted. When I finally got to a higher up their way of handling it was essentially telling me that I should have known there was a double charge each visit and that since i “didn’t know” they are going to do a discount for now. Yes it reduced it drastically but they should never double charge for one visit, if they want to sneak in a “building use fee” then hide it in one charge at least. I went for one on one (non group) DBT and was expected to pay $2000+ WITH INSURANCE! The therapists are amazing people and they do no wrong and are amazing at their jobs, but the corporate way of managing a healthcare facility is just not right.”
“This clinic should lose licensing and all accreditation. This isn’t a review after the first hiccup or mistake it’s been years of bringing a perceived issue to the attention of the clinicians and nothing changing resulting in these ridiculous patterns of patient neglect. It is absolutely Impossible to get prescriptions refilled or to reach anyone for that matter. They should be closed because ethically they are not able to do what they are there to do. They are catering to an already vulnerable population and their lack of responsiveness is very telling about how little of a priority their clientele are to them. This is absolutely unacceptable. I should not have to drive 45 minutes everytime need a prescription refilled all because no one answers the phone. At all. At no point during the work day does anyone answer the phone. It’s inappropriate and unacceptable for a mental health clinic. And it’s honestly mediocre and the people working here are just as mediocre.”
“Dr Dennis dorf is absolutely amazing! He took the time to listen and truly understand what is happening with my daughter.”
