How likely are you to recommend Weems Community Mental Health?
What patients say on Google
“I think weems has the potential to be a great place. However the staff are overworked and overwhelmed with the number of patients being referred to them. This causes them to be unable to provide the same care that you would get from a private mental health program. They do have some good therapists and doctors but then there are some who really don't care. If you can afford it try to get a private counselor, or do teletherapy but if you do have to go here ask for Ms. Winter, Ms. Sabrina Moore, or doctor Jordan they are great people. I enjoy talking to the therapist but I did realize they are big medication pushers and will try to talk you into taking it. While not against meds I believe strongly in the power of cognitive behavior therapy and think that if a patient is coming in and asking for talk therapy over medication and is not harmful to anyone they should be able to just get therapy. I also had experience with them really never sitting down for the whole hour uninterrupted to talk. Might get about 20 minutes and they are hyperly focused on how will you pay. I believe that is a disappointment but I realize that they way it is ran is causing the therapist to become that way. Maybe in the future they could offer teletherapy to their clients, actually assignment coping skills homework/ management skills and this may help them be more efficient and effective in helping the mental health crisis.”
“I’ll be honest lol never had a problem with outpatient therapists but their work with alliance is shotty and unhelpful whilst also being money oriented. They end up being more worried about meds and a quick diagnosis than actually making sure the patient gets help. weems is meh. Will update once I start seeing an outpatient therapist again”
“There patient advocate, will not answer her phone. They did not return all of my personal property. Thanks Missy. Do you really care I'm disgusted”
“Competent, extremely intelligent clinicians trying to help people navigate their lives.”
